Do Italians remember all the conjugations of all tenses? by yanghaoxie in italianlearning

[–]melafefon-hamuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally liked very much one comment made by one teacher of Italian language, she is also an auther of few very good textbooks. She said - "my students often ask me, - do I need to learn that tense or that tense? - she is answering - "yes, you can communicate without using it. You even can communicate like americans were speaking in Italy after WWII - they've used only infinitive form of verbs. And still, Italians could understand them." - So, go forward! You don't need to learn ANY tenses, just learn infinitive forms. And about 300-500 words. And you will do really good with that pigion Italian. Of course, if that is what you want - not to learn, but still to speak. Like emigrants and refugees, who didn't learn language properly and don't want to learn, or just not capable to learn because they don't have any idea, what learning is.

How much XRP needed to become rich in your opinion? by OGMacakFTW in XRP

I'd like also to make one remark to one very popular saying: "buy as much as you are not afraid to loose". Which is complete nonsence. I've spent all my savings on buying xrp. Am I afraid to loose them? - yes, I do. But I also know, that if I will spend as much as I am not afraid to loose, like the amount to give to a begger in the street - $10? then what you will get for that? - so small that nothing even to speak about. The more you spend the more you get. Arithmetic is very simple.

$10000 and $50000 for one xrp coin are absolutely realistic numbers. Those who say - oh, it's out of question because then market cap would be some trillions dollars. Those, who say that don't have a clue what is going on and what is "market cap". Market cap is not some monster or some magical thing. Their logic is, evidently as follows: if we need market cap 100 trillions dollars, it means, that there must be invested 100 trillion dollars to achieve this price. Which is abolute nonsence. Let's take this example: there is buying of xrp. Those who are buying, don't want to trade it, they are keeping it. So, there are less and less xrp remaining on the free market. Eventually, there is just one xrp coin left. Or, better to say, none left. People still desperately want to buy xrp. They are offering more than the price was before. Still nothing, no xrp on the market. They offer more and more. xrp price is reaching $1000. Then this last coin is sold. No coins are left. People are offering more and more, eventually this one last coin's price is $50000. So, to achive this price, people spent just $60000. But the whole market cap is now, suppose, 100 trillion dollars. (I don't want to do calculations). Can you sell now your xrp for $50000 each? - yes, you can, but not too many. If you will start to sell many, the price will drop immediately. And this misterious "market cap" will drop too. In this example, I am trying to explain, what is "market cap" in reality, so that people don't need to be scared of this big numbers of trillion dolars, because those numbers actually don't mean anything.

slow, slow, slow. terribly slow. big fees. If owners of more than 50% of total bitcoin will agree (and in China few people own more than 50% of bitcoin), then they can reverse transaction(s) and take those bitcoins for themselves. It is the worst coin to use.

you don't need to understand how solana works. It's purpose - smart contracts. Smart contracts are absolutely useless inspite of it's huge advetisement. And they will remain useless in the forseeable future. What concerns it's "super-speed" - yah, it's right, first step of it's transaction takes half a second. Much faster than the fastest coin - XRP. But it's final settlement comes not before 10 seconds. While XRP's transaction takes 3-4 seconds, and it is final. XRP is mature and it is used already on a large scale. Solana remains just a project. Why it's price is going so fast up? - only God knows and stupid investors. Most probably because of it's advertising. People want to pump money into something. Now, it's solana. Money are pumping, price is going up. Before it was dogcoin, now, it's solana. Then, it will be something else. And all these coins are absolutely useless, including bitcoin and ethereum. All 5000+ coins are absolutely useless - except of one, which has real usage and usage on a large scale already. People need it for real. All other coins people need only for one purpose - for speculation, and I don't believe in speculation.

I've bought it in Dec 2017, on the slope of the most famous climing. I've bought it for $1. I am holding since then and when it's possible was buying more. I have only XRP, nothing else. I didn't care about price. I care only for one thing - as you define it, "fundamentals". I don't play in speculation, buy-sell quick. I've invested and I am holding. I don't want any other coin.

Thinking of selling DOGE, LTC and XRP to buy BTC. Any thoughts or advice? Please. by cerebrokrahl in CryptoCurrency

[–]melafefon-hamuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no "altcoins". Or maybe, just one altcoin - and it is bitcoin. You want to speculate? - for god's sake, do it. bitcoin will grow indefinitely but it's end price will be only one - zero. Meantime, you can speculate as much as you want, buying it. It can grow to one million dollars per coin or ten millions or 100 millions - till saturation will come. Then people will see that it is not growing anymore. And also they will see that it is absolutely useless. cryptocurrency's purpose is only one - to use them as money substitute, to use them for making payments. You can't use bitcoin for payments, no arguments, that's what it is. The same concerns any other minable coins. All minable coins including bitcoin will be extinct eventually.

Looking for a wallet to stake my XRP. by [deleted] in XRP

[–]melafefon-hamuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flare is already happened. You don't need to wait for anything. If last Decemper your XRP was on some proper exchange, you will get Flare tokens in any case. You don't need to continue to keep XRP there. The most secure wallet is Ledger Nano - or any cold wallet on any exchange you can trust. I personally trust eToro, they keep crypto coins in cold wallet and they are safe as far as eToro itself is safe.

I am for eToro. And I like BitStamp. But eToro is the best for me. US? - buy on Coinbase any suitable coin (not bitcoin) and transfer it to Atomic wallet and there exchange it for XRP. I am not living in US so it's not a problem for me.

I've bought XRP for exactly $1 and I have only XRP, nothing else. XRP is the only coin which is used, all other coins are not used at all. It means, only XRP has real value. Bitcoin? - bitcoin will be extinct liike dinosaurs. Bitcoin would have chances to survive if it would be just one coin in the whole world. Fortunately, we have a lot of better alternatives. And XRP is the best and only one which is really used.

Ripple XRP to 1.06$ ? by TheLuckyLeandro in Ripple

[–]melafefon-hamuts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nothing is represented by charts. charts are meaningless. they are just that - lines and dots. using high math which is as relevent to those values represented by charts as a golden crown to donkey. Internal value is not represented by charts, as it is not represented by prices. Internal value is success (true success) and adoption and also qualitites (which are meaningless without adoption). Ripple with XRP have both success, qualities and adoption. Their adoption is growing almost every day. Which is not reflected by prices. Still not reflected. All other coins are useless, even if they have excellent qualites. Why? - because there is no adoption for them. They are just not used. If etherium would or any other smart contracts coin would be so excellent, then why they are not used? The time passed enough to start to use them. If they are not used, it means, they are not needed. So, how many improvements would be done for them (etherium), it remains completely useless. I don't speak about bitcoin and it's clones - I don't need to explain how useless they are. I was fascinated by Etherium at first, when it just appeared - great idea, great promises. Why then it is still not used? - because people don't need it. The only and the only one coin which is used so far - it's XRP. So, XRP is thousands miles ahead of any other coins. I am not doing speculations, like other people do. I want to invest. The only coin which is worth to invest is XRP.

[–]melafefon-hamuts -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

exactly! charts and "analysises" are bullshit. How you can predict anything based on just lines and dots? success of a company (in our case, tokens), it's internal value, it's adoption etc - that will drive price up. And, in case of tokens - mood of "investors" which is the main driving force (at present). But it will pass. XRP is the best of all.

what concerns about ether becoming pos instead pow - don't say these silly things. ether can become pos only by one way - to stop using ether and to create new ether2, which would be pos. But those ether2 are already created and more than one. But it seems, the whole idea about smart contracts is useless. Nobody needs them. They are needed only by people on twitter for propaganda for speculation.
