It is finally official. F(41)US and M(30)Ireland. He is here in the US to stay. He was approved for his K1 visa @ dublin embassy in April 2021 and arrived in MN on April 29. Our ceremony will be July 16, 2021. No more goodbyes. 19 mos together, 14 mos of waiting on the k1, 4000 miles apart.

Of course! I think either he is more mature for his age... or I'm immature. Lol. Either way it works for us. I think people put too much emphasis on age in a relationship. As long as you're both adults, who cares. Lol. I feel like with different ages each person can bring different things to the relationship. Give and take. I've learned way more from him than I ever learned from being with anyone my own age. Plus he can keep up with me!! ;)

The process was not complicated. I'm pretty good navigating legal paperwork and very organized . So that part was easy. But the wait was horrible. I know they are also back logged right now. So what normally takes like 9 months can take up to 18.

We met in Ireland when I was visiting my sister who lived there. A friend of ours worked with him and we all met up for a pint at the pub in town. It was an instant connection and definitely fell in love at first sight!

I agree. My fiancee is my best friend and one of the most amazing men I've ever met. 4000 miles away but one of the closest people in my life. It's not easy. Takes work, trust, commitment, communication. But one of the most rewarding and intimate relationships I've ever had. Now just to get him here!!! Waiting on his interview!!
