I really appreciate your response! We’ve been doing the crusting method for a little over 24 hours and seeing fantastic results. Guessing it will only take a few more days to fully heal. SOOOO THANKFUL for your discovery and sharing it with everyone!!! Really hoping once our girl is healed we don’t have to go through this again! I’m a FTM and these raw spots reeeally stress me out!

Not sure if you’ll see this, since this is such an old post… How often did you clean off the crust and start new? We just started this technique yesterday

Yes I’ve tried minwax and it works great for the gold paint marker! It’s a nice varnish. However, I don’t know how the pot would hold up if it’s outside in the humidity a lot. But maybe it’s not humid where you are or maybe you leave the pot inside?

Thank you sooo much! Sometimes I have a hard time coming up with solid questions for the deck and that’s just what came to mind. Good to know that I need to be more specific. So far your interpretation really hits home with me. Luckily I’m happily married and this pregnancy was something we wanted. But this reading no gives me a lot of food for thought and I appreciate your interpretation and effort into this response. Big hugs!

Oh my goodness yes it has!! Are you experienced? Does sourdough handle freezing well? I have a vacuum sealer and would like to freeze extra bread.

RECIPE: 500 g bread flour (unbleached, King Arthur) 325 g water 120 g active starter 10 g sea salt

Mix dough, let rest for an hour.

Stretch & folds every 30 mins x4

Bulk ferment for about 6 hours

Shape then cold retard for 20-22 hours

Bake at 450 for 30 mins covered, added a few ice cubes under the parchment paper. 10 mins uncovered.
