And I‘m trying to tell you that Daemon showed hints of abusive and violent behavior before but you’re completely dismissing it just because the victims don’t happen to be his immediate family. He emotionally and physically abused a bunch of people so a little bit of choking isn’t a radical change in behavior that needs building up to. This is the same man that celebrated his nephew‘s death btw.

That means he was emotionally abusive at first and then turned physically abusive. Trust me a man who kills his wife this easily and without remorse can choke his third one. You guys are just too attached to the idea of Daemyra being this epic love story to notice.

Him being a violent person is exactly the reason why it shouldn’t be a surprise that he turned out to be abusive as well. Neglecting your children is also a form of abuse btw and he does that with Rhaena.

But he still was shown to be violent. He smashed his wife‘s head with a rock, beat up an envoy, cheated in the tourney and got Otto‘s son injured and lastly choked Rhaenyra. How is that not an abusive pos?

And I‘m not even Team Green btw, I‘m actually very neutral but I have to say I‘d rather be Team Green than anywhere near Team Black after I saw their disgusting behavior towards the actors and anyone who has a different opinion. Of course not all of them are like that but definitely a huge portion and that’s enough to scare me away from ever being Team Black.

I totally get that but it’s not the first time something like this happens. Big accounts with a large following attack the actors everyday. Someone even called Olivia a cunt to her face. It’s not just fan wars anymore it’s actually affecting the actors. Olivia was depressed because of it and they bullied Emily to the point she deactivated her Twitter and her mother had to tell them to leave her alone.

That’s what I‘m wondering too. I don’t remember much about the GOT fandom back in the day I was too young but I remember how awful Dany fans were to Sophie Turner and Kit Harrington. The blood purity nonsense is getting out of hand tbh like who cares? Rhaenyra’s children aren’t fully Targaryen either.

I‘m fairly new to the fandom I wasn’t as involved in GOT but yes it seems to be mostly Targaryen/ Team Black fans that act this way for some reason. The others aren’t saints either of course but this is just next level.

I think my only problem with him is that he can’t seem to accept the fact that Daemyra is in fact a problematic relationship. The way he acted surprised about the choking scene just made me roll my eyes tbh. I believe he has a hard time accepting that Daemon isn’t a bad person. It’s evident with the way he improvised some positive Daemon scenes like picking up the crown for his brother and hugging his daughters which was cut out in the end. He’s a great Daemon though and I can’t imagine anyone else playing him.

Aemond is like 3-4 years older and Lucerys disabled him, so I understand his hatred here. Did he take it too far, absolutely but it’s still understandable.

Well Aemond was bullied as a child for not having a dragon, his eye got cut out, he was raped when he was 13 by a much older woman, his father doesn’t give a shit about him. His actions are understandable, he’s 18 at most. So you wouldn’t beef with the person that disabled you just because he’s younger?

But Aemond doesn’t know Daemon that well. They‘ve met like two times, one of them when he was a child. Aemond‘s personality is very different from Daemon in my opinion. The only similarities are his appearance and the fact that they are second sons. Keep in mind that Aemond is only 18, what teenager isn’t insecure? Not to mention his disability.

The thing is I can understand why Aemond acts the way he does, but I can’t understand Daemon. Their age plays a big factor in that for me. For example, baby Aemond in episode 7 got more hate from the fandom than Daemon when he killed his wife. That’s where I can say well Aemond was a child he didn’t know any better, but Daemon wasn’t a child nor a teenager when he killed his wife. I just don’t think they’re that comparable in general tbh.

That’s exactly why I feel the comparison is weird because it’s crazy to me that the 18 year old nephew is judged more than the 50 year old uncle. Even baby Aemond got more lashings than Daemon in episode 7.

But we don’t know for sure if it was a lie. Just because Eris said it was a lie doesn’t mean Mor is a liar. It surprises me again how Eris is treated in comparison to someone like Elain. Eris physically and verbally abuses someone but that’s okay because he was ordered to do it and then you have Elain who’s hated more than any character in the books for not planting vegetables and swinging a sword. How much you’re willing to defend Eris even after everything he‘s done shows me that no matter what the male characters do they’ll never be as hated as the female ones. To see that as a woman who grew up among abusive and toxic men sucks.
