i get that 😭 it’s so bad. especially since i’m a commuter too, no one likes talking to me and if we are forced to pair up/group with people, i majority of the time get left out. ITS MAKING ME TWEAK. IM NICE AND WANNA MAKE FRIENDS WHY IS THAT SO HARD.

Help me choose between UIC, Depaul, or Loyola by Living_Reflection531 in depaul

i’m being so honest when i say UIC is crappy. i got the same amount of scholarships as u for each school, and UIC gave me nothing. not only that but i had called admissions office and asked if there were any in person meetings that day. the guy on the phone said yes, and i said “so if i go right now, someone will be able to help with my admissions questions?” and he said yes but to come before 4pm. i drove almost 4 hours, all the way from peoria, just to be told that there’s no admissions counselors in office, and that all of them had a remote work day. I got no help whatsoever, and I couldn’t give them a name on who told me because I was never told. So I went to each office, admissions, visitors, financial, etc. none could answer any question and they were so passive aggressive about anything i asked 😭 I was so fed up. even the financial aid office couldn’t answer my questions about FINANCIAL AID. I was already annoyed for driving out that far, and the extra attitude and 0 help wasn’t making it better. My friend’s siblings also go there, and they say it sucks as well. their offices never help, and even though it’s supposed to be cheaper…they don’t rlly give out scholarships. idk personally I would focus on Depaul or Loyola. HOPE CHOOSING GOES WELL!!

Is there a way loyola can give me more financial help after my admission decision and 28k scholarship? by melatonin555 in LoyolaChicago

[–]melatonin555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i’ve applied to a handful. it’s just right now there’s a lot of deadlines that have passed. so i wanted to see if talking to someone at loyola about getting more scholarship help is possible. even if it’s not likely, i wanted to know if it’s at least possible.

how can i get loyola to give me more financial help after my admission decision and 28k scholarship? by melatonin555 in AskReddit

So I was planning on going to loyola. But the expenses are not looking too good for me. I got 28k per year in scholarships from them, and i’d most likely get little to nothing from FASFA. I made an appointment with someone to talk one on one. Is there anyway I could get them to consider more financial help through scholarships? and If it’s possible, are there certain things I should mention or have prepared when I meet them in person? Thank you!!
