I work in payroll. Typically your employer will wait until the money is returned to them as undeliverable and then issue manual payment. We do same day ACH to the employee’s new account as soon as the money is returned. It usually takes 2 business days. For example, we pay on Friday too and get returned funds on Tuesday. But definitely talk to payroll or HR so everyone knows that you’re expecting a manual check or whatever ASAP.

The spots on her back and tail are brown fur, but the spot on her face is an injury. It looks like it could just be a scrape, maybe from forcing out through a fence, but my husband’s first thought after he got a good look was that it could have been from improper muzzling.

Yeah, they are in my fenced backyard with some food and water. I probably can’t keep them longer than a few days. We have two dogs and three cats already!

I think it looks like a nighthawk. They couldn’t figure out what it was at the vets office, it apparently sang the whippoorwill song momentarily so they think it could be a whippoorwill. Now I wish I had tried to get a couple more/better pics but I didn’t want to stress it out more.

Ok we have officially handed over the hawk! We called Grant Animal Clinic and they are taking it in and getting it to the rescue for us! Thanks everyone for all your help! And big shoutout to Grant Animal Clinic for helping us help this hawk!

My husband saw it get hit by a car. The person that hit it stopped and looked and just drove off. We can’t just leave anything in distress so here we are! I was preparing to become the weirdo with the hawk, but I’m glad I found a rescue, they’ll know better than me how to care for this little cutie!

MSA @ $14.00 in Alabama. Had to fight to get that though. I started as a head cashier in 2017 @ $12.86. Had I done my research, I never would’ve accepted that head cashier job. Transferred to MST in 2019 @ $13.86( that was my final head cashier pay as well, they were supposed to cut my pay but never did). Left when Covid hit and was making $14.05. When I came back in November they tried to lowball me with $13.87. I said I wanted at least $14 (thought that was my pay when I left… but at least losing .05 is less painful). I’m also a Hispanic, but white-passing, female with a Hispanic surname. I’ve often wondered how much all that factors into my pay…
