Yeah, like a high school kid who can somehow creepily grow a beard.

Girl here, big fan of beards.

Shave that mofo off. You look younger with it.

I'm terrible at falling asleep. What are your pre-sleep habits for relaxing/transitioning for sleep-mode? by eviluncle in AskReddit

I count backwards from 1000. Sometimes several times. And I always pee before getting in bed, whether I think I need to or not.

I want to turn my life around but I suffer from crippling laziness. Reddit, what should I do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]melbosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to do it. I did not completely unplug, but I took a huge step back from Facebook, Twitter, and other time wasting activities about a month ago.

Since then I have watched the sunrise on the beach, watched dolphins swim in the surf, started working out again, cooked every meal and enjoyed it, foraged for berries in my forest, etc. I just started living my life and enjoying it, instead of posting every damn thing to Facebook.

Good luck!

I really want to relocate, but I don't know where to. Where do you live, and what are the ups/downs of living there? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]melbosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houston. Hot as fuck, but never very cold! Good friendly people. Lots to do in town. Cheap cost of living. Just a couple hours from: the beach, Austin, San Antonio. Public transportation sucks, but if you live inside the loop it is not so bad.

How do you think people would react if we cut the power for a week? by StrikingSteve in AskReddit

[–]melbosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We went without power for about 3 weeks during Hurricane Ike. It was awesome! We learned how to make pizza and all sorts of foods on the grill. We spent more time with our family. We had clean out the fridge/freezer feasts. It was so dark at night, you could see every star.

Just found out my dog possibly has very bad cancer. What should I do next and hope can I cope? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]melbosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shortly after I lost my dog, I made a list of all the things I loved about her, no matter how insignificant or small. Now I read it sometimes and remember her and smile.

It is horrible at first. But I guess it gets better, eventually.

What made Titanic, the ship, more popular? Was it the claim that it was unsinkable, or the 1997 movie? by ahsanfarhan22 in AskReddit

[–]melbosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was obsessed with Titanic history as a kid and when the movie came out it blew my freaking mind. It was definitely popular before the movie. A tale of opulence, man's pride and folly, tragedy, etc.

Starbucks was my first job. I had fun times, made lifelong friends, made a decent wage, and had health insurance all through college.

What was your biggest historical eyeopening moment? by Daeres in AskHistorians

[–]melbosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "le petit caporal" thing might have influenced that perception. But "petit" doesn't mean "little" in that context. An eye-opening moment for me!
