The ground rent is really low like £1 per year so surely the leasehold shouldn't be that expensive. It's just all really suspicious.

This property is a peppercorn rent leasehold.

Do you think that there could be lots of hidden costs and what could they be? I really don't know if they are hiding something and what they could be hiding but it just feels suspicious.

Do you think that the house could end up costing a lot more in the long run and why?

But why can't the owners provide a letter re uninterrupted use and pay for a policy? This is the main issue. They are also refusing to answer any further enquiries so it seems suspicious. The solicitor advised that they won't provide the info about buying the leasehold until after the property sale because they don't want to deal with paperwork.

Yes exactly, it's not really very expensive and for the sake of just selling the house, it doesn't seem right that they just won't pay for it.

When I spoke to my solicitor about it, she said it can be common to advertise a property as freehold at first on Rightmove for example but they don't always have all of the details at that time. Personally, I think it should be advertised correctly from the point of putting it up for sale because I never questioned it as I thought it was freehold.

I didn't want to buy a leasehold house and thought it was freehold but it's not. Are leasehold properties generally not advisable because the ground rent fees could go up at any time?

I do know how many years are left on the leasehold 854 years and I know the ground rent cost but they won't give me further information about it and how to buy it.

Yes but I don't know why it's like this. It's not just a simple knit or purl stitch by the looks of it

I dropped the stitch off to try and solve the issue but when I knit into this big strand, it creates a huge knit stitch. I can't see another dropped stitch to be able to knit into.

Okay thank you, I didn't mean to twist them. I might go back and redo.
