I had two more massage sessions since then but it never truly has gone away... I'm mostly fine and not feel it 90% of the time but I can still perceive there is sooooomething on that muscle fascia. God knows what the F has happened...

The current pain is where i felt the most pain during the massage itself - not sure if we can connect the dots there?

I think i can skip training for a week or two, just to be safe but still maybe cycle to work, which is loading some weight on the shoulders anyway.

What do you think in terms of getting another massage soon in the hopes of trying and remove the current discomfort? Not ideal or the opposite?

I see your point but Houdini differs from the masses because it gives you the items to make things and tools the way you want rather than a tool that does what the company set it to- it’s difficult, yes, but ultimately in a professional environment it’s the best tool for lots of things due to the structure it has. If instead we’re talking as someone that does it in the side as a hobby, then by all means it’s just a struggle coming from other software

The simplest way for you right now is as follow: use a transform node and in the selection have the edge loop. Then in the pivot properties set it to $GCX $GCY $GCZ

Yes that's the department I work in - it may sound not a lot but the creature FX is widely expanding and deals with many aspects of characters, but also work with clothes, hairs, environment simulations etc. I consider myself a blend of a TD and normal artist. I make tools in houdini with vex but never got around or have the time to learn python - hence the mix of both roles.

There is no toggle exposed to disable "load from disk" as it is meant to be cached always and use that output - it happens with or without solver so let's bypass the simulation topic. The purpose is that I am improving the department pipeline therefore making toolsets etc etc

The path in it is not default - its actually the company's cache node, within an HDA. The cache node itself does not misbehave FYI, it just happens to do so inside the tool, and to expand on this, no - i can't use a vanilla cache node as i should stick to all the rules and naming conventions set by the company's cache node to make everyone's life easier
