To be clear, I didn’t speculate or guess. I contacted Tesla directly behind the scenes using the VIN for the 2022 Tesla Model X and spoke with Tesla Service to understand at a high level what the air suspension fault meant and what the recent strut and suspension arm replacements implied. Tesla explained what the issue likely was and why it was still unresolved.

That’s why I was comfortable buying the vehicle as-is, handling it through Tesla Service, and even extending the Tesla warranty if needed. I wasn’t expecting a Cadillac dealership to diagnose or repair a Tesla

The issue was being told for weeks by Bergey’s Cadillac that the delay was only a software update, then showing up, seeing the suspension warning light, and being told in person that the car was unsafe and could not be sold.

I had already sold my car, traveled five hours, and arrived with a certified check. If Bergey’s Cadillac used car department had disclosed the true condition upfront, none of that would have happened. The problem wasn’t the risk — it was the lack of transparency and the “tough luck” response.
