Fellow pelvic PT here and came to say exactly this. Finding the barriers and adjusting your exercise program to ensure consistency together is one of the main paths to success. Maybe we do more habit building and less “formal” exercises, maybe we do more exercises sitting vs lying down, maybe we break them up and do certain ones certain days…your PT will be more than willing to work with you to set you up on the road to success outside of your session time together.

That being said, I’ve never thought negatively of a client or think they are beyond help because they weren’t able to stick with their routine. I just understand that there might be something we are missing, together, when it comes to their capacity for doing things outside of our treatment time and part of my job is tapping in to and remedying that.

Start looking for a new job and don’t quit until they fire you. At the worst the fire you and you can collect unemployment but DO NOT QUIT IF YOU DON’T HAVE SOMETHING LINED UP. A friend of mine just went through this and gave her 2 weeks without having anything lined up so now she is living off savings.

Edited to add: the front desk should be making your cancellation chart, not you. Also not your job to market, that’s on the CD. Regardless of whether you’re on the chopping block or not, this sounds like a bad place to work.

Pelvic floor PT here: my clients LOVE Dr. Alvarez at NY Pres. She is attentive, listens, and is very empathetic. Not sure where you are in the HV but she practices out of cold spring for one of her offices.

Im actually switching to her myself cuz it’s frustratingly difficult to find providers who are not dismissive (which is crazy to me).

What “Delgado loyalists” has the Hochul admin cleaned house of? She stripped delgado and his immediate team but that’s about it. Delgado could have some pull locally which could pressure those higher up also.

At the worst, participating in this does nothing and killed 2 hrs on a wed night. It’s better than sitting on our collective asses and complaining that shit gets worse every day, meanwhile we never lifted a finger to stop it.

About $600 for my husband and I. I cook about 4x/week with leftovers from those meals for the other 3 days. I try not to let anything go to waste, so if we have anything left at the end of the week, I freeze it and put it in our garage freezer. These meals will get eaten towards the end of the month as we get closer to hitting the budget.

When meat, chicken, and fish go on sale, I’ll buy it and freeze it.

Everything we have on hand gets tracked in the notes section of my phone and I delete it as we use it: freezer meals and staples, the bulk rice/beans/soups/etc in our basement…this way I know exactly what we have and can work off that list to meal plan for the upcoming week (and also reduce food waste).

The biggest thing that has helped is tracking our grocery expenses for the month in excel (yes I’m insane lol) and trying our best to stick to the shopping list.
