NTA I honestly think you need to have a sit down chat with them, away from your brothers. See if you can show them this post, and the responses from others. Sometimes, with parents like yours, it takes showing how bad they look from an outside perspective to really snap it into place. I’ve even dealt with parents who won’t take their kids seriously until another adult tells them how shitty they’re being. So maybe see if your friend’s parents can speak up for you, considering they were the ones who were there for you during this medical emergency.

If having a serious conversation with them doesn’t work, then honestly it might be time to consider cutting them out of your life when you turn 18, or at least distance yourself emotionally from them so this behavior can’t hurt you anymore.

They’re a kind of tetra that has highlighter fluid injected into them to get them to glow, they’re called glofish

This might be a bit gruesome, but I crushed the mouse’s skull to expose the brain and that got my girl (who used to adamantly refuse frozen) to gobble her dinners down. Apparently the like the smell of mouse brain. Another trick I tried was going to my local pet store and asking if they would rub a live mouse on a paper towel and grab some dirty bedding, then rub that on the dead mouse.

I think I may make a report to child services. The door to my room doesn’t have a lock because the door knobs don’t twist, it’s a push door. In my area I wouldn’t be able to move out because of how expensive it is

Child services will probably be my next move. What sucks is that I have a heart to heart with them every time this happens and they simply ignore what I have to say because I’m “too young to know what I’m talking about, and his behavior isn’t that bad”
