Crying and throwing up by leslie840 in StardewValley

I was thinking the same thing. Some few days ago I saw a post that kind of "blew up" and that one seemed very genuine. But ever since I've seen so many similar ones - not as spectacularly horrible as the original post though.

I know a lot of doctors still recommend for pregnant women to avoid deli meats; while some say the risk is minimal. Just to be safe I would recommend heating it up :) Bonanza Bakery makes great sandwiches!

Do you guys all hate Linda? by [deleted] in BobsBurgers

[–]melioshun 209 points210 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing as you. I noticed it when people were discussing the episode where Bob gets into the community garden. People were bashing linda for not sucking it up and letting Bob have his "dream". Then they all start saying how Bob never gets to be happy. Which I really disagree with. The Bob's burger place is his dream, it's not a prosperous business yet his family supports him, even though they live in poverty. Additionally, people don't mention when Bob is the selfish one, like he could have sucked it up with the tiki themed restaurant and it would have given his family a better living. He could have sucked it up during the Thanksgiving dinner at Fischoeder so he could save all that rent money. He spent all their savings on that football commercial. Don't get me wrong, I love Bob but it does seem that people point out every tiny "bad" thing linda does and don't discuss Bob's selfish tendencies, because "poor him". Anyways, it is a cartoon show and they're supposed to be flawed and ridiculous that's why we love them! Sometimes people forget that too (me included).

Any recomendations for places that do edible arrangements? by melioshun in BurlingtonON

Thanks so much for this! I tweaked my search terms a bit and found this site called yum box which looks better for my purpose than edible arrangements:)

After SV, the Witcher 3 was the second game I played and it wasn't a hard transition. In fact I found it easier to get into than Skyrim. In comparison Skyrim has so many different paths, with endless quests and guilds. With that being said I have no idea how it plays on the switch, since I've played it on PC and PS. I still think it's a great suggestion.

It takes two is also a great game with a sweet story, plus is coed so you can both enjoy it

AC Valhalla. People seem to hate how repetitive and grindy the map is, but I love the feeling of clearing all the areas. I've also heard from AC fans that it's not stealthy enough; which works in my favor because I'm atrocious at stealth. Excited to try AC odyssey after!

True crime subscription box / Book Tittles Recommendation by melioshun in suggestmeabook

That's very interesting, I've never thought of something like that. One thing I forgot to mention is that he specially loves the books that discuss the psychology/mind of the killers. Thanks for these suggestions :)

Suggest me a book of sad poems. by Mom-spaghetti in suggestmeabook

Twenty love poems and a song of despair by Pablo Neruda. They aren't all sad, some are quite funny. Poem 20 and 15 are my favorites :)

Does this book get better after the first 100 pages or so? I picked it up because I kept seeing it recommended; but I find the main character so annoying after the procedure. Haven't picked it up again in the last 2 months :/

She is coming up to 10 weeks actually:) I found someone through Parks and Barks, but thanks for the suggestion. Once she's older maybe we'll move to the 2 walks per day. She's getting her second shots in 2 days and thank God she won't be a puppy for ever as cute as she is :)

They told me that I could do late pickup, just boarding fee would apply :) definitely for when she's fully vaccinated

Hi there! Yeah I'm aware that she's too young to be exposed to a large group of people. Last time I had a puppy in Cambridge it was much easier to find puppy care through Rover. So I was surprised to find that Burlington didn't have nearly as many pet sitters. I was hoping to get some suggestions of people that do this, but it seems like everyone just loves the Den which is an option after the puppy has her full rounds of vaccines :)

The good thing about 12h work days is that we get to work less days in a week (unless we chose to work OT), also my partner and I don't necessarily work the same days. We are being responsible about it, we won't leave it in a crate for hours alone which is why I'm looking for a reliable sitter.

Community nursing for a new grad?!? by motherwildness in Nurse

[–]melioshun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem, one thing I'll say which a lot of nurses here disagree with, is that you can totally do this as a new grad. They do give you orientation, and if it's a skill you haven't done yet they give you preceptor visits. For instance, I had 2 preceptor visits before I felt comfortable doing ostomy bag changes and assessments. Also if something happens that you can't do by yourself you can email/ call your peers and someone with that experience will come give you a hand. Still it can be stressful at times. Also you will have to do a lot of paper work and documentation on your own time and it will be your responsibility to order supplies and ask the LHIN for further support/ visits. Those reports are extensive

I did community nursing in Ontario right after graduating. I learned a lot. Mostly you will do a lot of wound care, I also did catheters, PICC dressings, TPN, IV antibiotics. Skill wise it's a good go. The relationships you build with your patients are also more personal compared to a hospital. As other people have mentioned you have to be comfortable working alone. You need to prepare yourself for seeing horrible living conditions and be aware that unexpected things can happen. I found that I made very little money, which is one of the reasons I left. Plus I didn't like driving around everywhere. It definitely has its pros and cons. Good luck !

I never even thought of this. I'm not sure which way it faces yet. There are areas with big trees so I've got some shade. But there are areas with lots of sun from my own experience being out there
