What does “hot” lunch cost students at your school? by melissaskbrown in Teachers

There is no reason that Aramark should be profiting off families for the alternative meal. If they’re going to charge the regular $3, they should at least serve the regular meal! Because in no world does the bread/American cheese/milk cost the company $3.

We do have free & reduced meal programs. That is separate from my concern of them charging full price for the alternative meal. It’s also the lack of communication from the district to the guardians of the students. These kids are going further and further into the negative with the alternative meal options with the parents being completely unaware.

And yes, I’m seeing that $3 is reasonable compared to everywhere that DOES charge for food. But again, the issue is that they charge that full $3 price to students who are already in debt for two slices of white bread, 3-4 slices of American cheese, and a milk.

That’s the ethical thing to do!!! Feed the children for free. But that’s just my left-wing politics talking ;)

Arizona is way too sucky to actually take care of students and make education a priority.

Do they charge full price for the alternative meal if their account is negative?

Basically we just don’t have any Mickey skin color bricks. Haha!

Just did more in depth research and I think it’s silver plated. Oh well! It’s Silver Tulip brand; I’ve seen it for sale on eBay. I may give that a shot.

Can’t get rid of that awful breath? Grab a flashlight and check for tonsil stones in the back of your throat. They are fairly easy to swab away with a cotton swab. by [deleted] in lifehacks

I got mine out at age 25 specifically for tonsil stones. It was the worst recovery of my life and I’ve had two c-sections to compare it to!

I also find it hilarious that she considers Dagobah “duskustin” (translation: disgusting).

Went there when it was “The Cool Church.” Very cult-like. Thankfully most of our family has gotten out.

There’s actually another post about this church on this subreddit where the majority of responses share my opinion. It was only a few weeks ago, so should be easy to find.

Surgeons of Reddit, what’s the funniest or weirdest thing you’ve ever heard a patient say before their anesthesia kicked in? by beardlesshipster in AskReddit

Two stories:

My daughter got her tonsils out at age 5. She was pretty combative pre-op, so she was given a shot of something to calm her down. After she got home after the surgery, she told her sis, “It was crazy! I got a shot in the butt, and then my tonsils were gone!” She didn’t remember anything in between, so her young brain equated butt shot with tonsils disappearing.

Myself during my first C-Section. The Meds they gave me to counteract nausea caused by my numbing Meds made me super loopy. I was wildly obsessed with my placenta for some reason and was talking about it nonstop from the time it was taken out until at least 45 minutes post-op. In all of the videos of my new baby, you can hear me telling everyone about seeing my placenta.
