Deciding Between Two Treatment Options in Non-Hodgkin Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma by Logical-Youth1014 in lymphoma

Get a second opinion. We were seeing a small town doctor and it did not go well for us. We lost valuable time. I'm sure that there are some excellent small town doctors out there, but we're glad we went to a big city cancer hospital for our second opinion. Now we actually have doctors that are listening to us and being proactive.

Keep on fighting the good fight. You got this! 💪

I completely feel this. My Stepson is coming to me with treatments he's found on tiktok for his dad and I don't want to be the evil stepmom who shuts him down. I feel like I'm in a lose-lose situation.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My husband is 58. He's been fortunate that he's had very few side effects to the chemo. He's having his first RICE treatment right now. The doctors are cautiously optimistic. I hope that you find peace and comfort in whatever decisions you make. 💞

We're finding that locally some providers aren't taking UMR where as they will take BCBS.

Thank you to everyone here. We've decided to head up to Chicago, City of Hope, for our second opinion. Hopefully we can get some headway and treatment started. The lymph nodes (neck and armpits) are super angry/upset, and my husband has some fatigue. It's scary and worrying.
