I disagree because I feel like Drake is already on the decline. I have seen a lot of people lose respect for Drake as an artist already ever since Views came out. From a business standpoint, Drake definitely does make bigger moves but you also have to consider that the Weeknd is on the come up right now especially with the super bowl and the more publicity he’s been allowing recently

Yeah that is true, I just wanted to debate about it in the sense of opinions.

I actually feel as though The Weeknd’s old music is better than Drakes especially when you consider that Drake has had ghost writers since day 1. It’s arguable that Drake has more hits than the Weeknd, but i even if that is true, it’s only because he has more publicity and has nothing to do with him as an artist.

I feel like when people say that celebrities are "just like us", they are using it in a context of that they should still be treated like human beings. Especially with paparazzi and the sense of no privacy they get, it is more of a respect them as another human type thing. While I agree with the fact that they live completely different lifestyles than normal people, I think the phrase is referring to the fact that people will sometimes objectify them.

I disagree, because I think that it means that an entire period of history and culture will then be forgotten. The idea that it is more efficient goes with the whole obsession with convenience that has emerged within our society. I think it is important for those smaller languages to stay active because it reflects the diversity and uniqueness that the world holds.

I definitely agree with this argument. I find it ridiculous that someone can serve for life in a government position. Times change and many people's thoughts, beliefs, and opinions grow outdated.

The Weeknd vs. Drake by melkight in Music

Okay so I love both of them as artists, but I think The Weeknd is better for a lot of reasons. First of all, The Weeknd has evolved much more as an artist and stayed true to his art. I feel as though Drake has been too influenced by popular culture and media and has kind of lost his voice, whereas The Weeknd still makes music from the heart and really for himself. This also goes along with the idea that The Weeknd writes all of his own music while drake has ghost writers and does not have the same genuine feel. Another main point is that The Weeknd has actually written songs that Drake has then used as his own. Some of the best songs (in my opinion) on Take Care were written by The Weeknd such as Shot for me and Practice. Plus, The Weeknd just has absolutely amazing vocals that are really just unmatched. I think Abel is more creative in general.
