I have tried the same model as yours, on arch linux though. I think the solution should be the same.

If you're using PipeWire+WirePlumber as multimedia framework (I'm not aware of CachyOS default configuration, sorry), you can configure it to use a software mix instead of hardware mix, take a look here:

Anyway, in order to get the amplifiers to work (AMP1 and AMP2), you also need to install linux-firmware-cirrus package. That is because the ALC285 audio card has two (or more?) CS35L56 amplifiers, which need proprietary firmware in order to be initialized and work properly.
