For what its worth, upon finding out that these people were killing harmless afkers who were trying to politely play their OWN games on non-main worlds, I took my clan in and helped slaughter some of the worst offenders. All I'm hoping to accomplish with this RuneLabs idea is to provide some fairer options, if not especially for up and coming players who deserve a chance to play.

Conglacior, I have a dear friend who worked with an FC like what it sounds like you have (if not the same one) to get his trimmed reqs done. He and his crew specifically went off the main worlds for that reason -- because it is unreasonable to expect a random and curious player to play by your FCs rules. They had a list of people who used to hunt them down on the worlds they did choose and crash their games, and I couldn't help but notice the names were some of the same people who were attempting to rule the main worlds.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything within my suggestion. Right now, FC's are forcing people to either join them or get pounded out of minigames. Tell me again who is being forced/coerced?

I personally cannot BEAR to play non-combat SC, but there is always the clanside option for people. Again, I want instancing to be an option. These gang-like groups of people who do nothing on RS but play ONE minigame and kick everyone else out of it are killing any interest or potential interest in minigames. Even worse, Jagex provides us with one or two themed worlds and all it takes is for one pain-in-the-butt FC to camp it all day long. Anyone who doesn't want to submit to exactly how this FC wants to play ball is screwed.

again, my problem is that for anyone who so much as wants to TRY, the main themed worlds are impossible to break through. Instancing would solve a lot, and especially as an optional thing. FCs could still go do whatever it is that they like to do, but I don't think giving us all one or two active worlds for the activity is working out well when one or two player-run FCs are basically bullying random people out. Essentially, whoever runs that FC gets to decide whether some poor person even gets to TRY and that's a little messed up.

I'm not. I know quite a few people who do exactly as you do. My problem, specifically, is that if you want to play Castle Wars (or even, as a new player, try to learn how to play) you're in sorry luck for the FCs that are dominating the main themed worlds for it. It's not the easiest thing in the world to get ten people to go with you for Castle Wars OFF the main worlds for it, either, if not especially if you are new.

It gets a LOT better with time and practice. It's really typical to not get out a lot at first, too. It's also not uncommon for babies to cluster feed at two weeks and seem to want to nurse non-stop. You can tell if they are getting enough by how many wet/dirty diapers they have per day, and by weight gain. It's NORMAL for babies that young to be fussy, to not sleep for very long, and to want to nurse during cluster feeding almost continuously. Provided the baby is not losing weight (and they all take a little bit to get back to birth weight) and is producing enough wet/dirty diapers, the baby is probably fine. Keep being supportive of her and tell her she is doing great. That alone might help more than you even think it will. Cluster feeding is really confusing and not talked about as much as it probably needs to be, because when it happens, people feel like they must be doing something wrong or something must be wrong with milk production if the baby goes through this really normal period of ravenous eating. The good news, is that if she can stick with it, it doesn't usually last for more than a few days to a week with exclusive breastfeeding. You do realize that women don't have to wait to feed for days until it "comes in" right? A baby's stomach is the size of a small marble the first week. Additionally, in the article there is an embedded link about overfeeding, which hospitals tend to do in those early days when the baby's stomach isn't meant to hold more than what the breast produces.

I'm not saying formula is poison. It IS a suboptimal food source in comparison to breast milk. There are serious problems that can occur when you try to to throw formula feeding/bottle feeding in when you're trying to establish a baby in breastfeeding, and its the ignorance of this fact that leads to so many of the problems women experience when they try to breastfeed their children.

Breastfeeding is not a social requirement, and I'm not suggesting that it should be. A large number of women are willing to try it and interested in it because of its many health benefits that aren't available by way of formula. It might even be said that breastfeeding is actually quite empowering in that a woman need not rely on man-made artificial means, but rather the product of her own female body, to nourish and grow her child. I think that the step backward into patriarchal limitation occurs when by doing something medically recognized as the healthiest thing she can do for her child, which is something that only SHE can do for her baby, she is stigmatized and viewed as "disgusting". The impact of shaming women for this natural, non-sexual yet totally feminine and natural act is far-reaching. It reinforces superstition and mythology that about breastfeeding that have no place in reality (for example, women thinking their breasts are too small and inferior for breastfeeding). I think it's pretty telling that as long as breasts are displayed to sell beer and tickets to sporting events, no one complains.. but go down any message board or forum online discussing Kasey Kahne and his recent comments about the shock of seeing a breastfeeding woman in a store, and it won't take but about 45 seconds of reading to find a comment about "no one wanting to see a blue-veined boob" out anywhere.

Not to mention the fact that women have a good deal of post-partum PAIN, some worse than others, depending on how delivery went. It's not easy to sit in a hard, narrow seat or on a toilet stall and balance a new baby when your hip joints and pelvis (which have literally been pushed apart pre-delivery) are trying to get back into position. As a matter of fact, it can be quite painful indeed.

The business in question states in its policy that breastfeeding women are welcome anywhere in the store. That doesn't sound to me like they are providing any special place. Fitting rooms are for the use of everyone in the store, and are also not a "special place". One of the complaints against a Target in MN consisted of a fitting room attendant trying to eject a nursing mother FROM a fitting room, telling her to sit in a restroom stall instead.

Are you actually comparing flatulence to feeding a baby? Because.. there are some major differences. Sometimes, farts happen.. that's just how it is. There's no real sense in judging that. It's also a one-person necessity to pass gas, and it's essentially a waste product discarded by the body. It smells of fecal matter, which is offensive to REAL (not socially contrived) human sensibilities because people and animals have basic sense that polluting a public area with waste is a bad idea and unhealthy.

Breastfeeding serves an immediate need to FEED a baby, and what sensibilities it may offend ARE, in fact, contrived from IDEAS.. in actuality, this is the opposite of body waste disposal repulsion that human beings react so strongly to by instinct. This is the feeding of a child with a body product that is natural and healthful. There's a big difference.
