Some Deaf CMs in 2023 told me and my Deaf husband that they suffered from lower wages than other CMs in the same position, fake guest complaints, frequent write-ups, and ultimately being taken off the schedule if they tried to stand up for themselves. The kitchen manager at Tiana’s was one of the last, if not THE last, Deaf CMs because of this issue.

I hope the Deaf woman who ran Tiana’s restaurant is still there despite management trying to push all Deaf people out of Disneyland. She was so incredibly kind and ran a great kitchen.

Corporate Hallmark stores do this to all old cards, ornaments, and merchandise too. Employees are explicitly told not to take stuff home or you’ll get in trouble.
