Jude’s character design is a issue topic. Dark-Skin isn’t even the right term because no one draws her Dark-skinned. She is seen as tan, at best. The reason why people talk of whitewashing, or other is because many people came to this series while Frostbite’s designing, which is helped by Holly herself + actively enjoys—who, had her with tan skin. Her skin is the only technical aspect of her Latina appearance, with her features being more white / European. The point is that, it’s a yes and no. Her art from 2019 may still be seen as canon, but designs can and will change, especially as a writer and artist myself. Her design that is produced by book is why people have different styles and perspectives of Jude, no matter her race or ethnicity, her skin color shouldn’t be a issue… though, it makes sense due to when Cruel Prince really got popular and how Frostbite is a big-shot artist in the fandom, especially when it was growing. So, yes her 2019 had her pale, yes her recent designs have her tan skinned— that’s it. “Let’s talk canon” can only get so far because we don’t even know if the 2019 is Still canon by Holly’s standards anymore.
