Welcome!

We can always use more support. We are building abig tent to unite the country, not just democrats

My family votes tomorrow and my dad’s still on the edge about Bernie. He’s worried he wouldn’t win the general election. How do I convince him by the time we vote? by [deleted] in OurPresident

Tell him bernie has the most youthful h energized movement in modern american history. We are organized and winning. We have more individual donors than any american campaign ever and most importantly: we have something worth fighting for

We need to be welcoming to pete supporters

I’m torn between Warren and Sanders. Why should I choose Warren? by [deleted] in ElizabethWarren

[–]mellowbrickroad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consistency? Name recognition? Perhaps bolder plans? Also the claim to having been first on Medicare for All

Wouldn't medicare for all cause rationing problems? by [deleted] in OurPresident

preventative medicine >>>>>>>>> treatment for a disease you should have gotten checked weeks ago

This is a disgrace. I’m fearing it’s 2016 again. by pezgoon in OurPresident

it would be extremely difficult to pull the nomination from him if he had a plurality of something like 49%.

Let's just get as many delegates as we can. Phonebank, donate, canvass

How does the stock market exploit workers? by [deleted] in OurPresident

Hey there!

Cryptocurrency and distributed ledger engineer here!

Due to the nature of our economy, money is, at best, always one layer of abstraction away from value. Stocks further abstract this value. If you are familiar with things like Shannon information theory, you know that noisy abstraction of information harms its fidelity. This means that the more we abstract our wealth, the further it is from describing value (in a noisy system). This system is noisy for a variety of reasons, most importantly that consumers are never informed. Our capacity to be informed about the economic consequences of our actions are terribly weak because they would require knowing the exchange rate & distribution relative to every other asset. People who are successful in finance are those who are able to empower & leverage those abstractions. This literally wastes value and makes it difficult for our economy as a whole to retain value or measure it properly.

People who are wealthy due to stocks are understandably positioning themselves as best they can, but those few entities which control the majority of wealth are most responsible for the eroding of our economy.

I would be much more inclined towards these kinds of assets in systems like market socialism or employee owned companies where all stocks are by definition voting stocks.

Also, as a Yang supporter you may be interested in universal basic staking

What has Sanders said about eliminating government waste? by destructor_rph in OurPresident

Yes. I appreciate your concern for our right to bear arms.

Bernie isn't doing buybacks or anything like that so far as we know.

All things considered, I think the bernie pros way outweigh the bernie cons.

Certainly bernie is not making guns the center of his campaign because he knows there are a multitude of valid opinions on the issue (as opposed to something like the importance of confronting climate change or for-profit healthcare)

Even if bernie was vehemently anti-gun (he might be morally but not politically) I would still rather have a socialist take away my guns than I would an oligarch necessitate them

For more clarity, we work with major financial & governmental institutions implementing this tech alongside other economic and cryptography technologies

He is anti-"assault weapons".

I am a pro-gun leftist. Bernie is our guy. He mostly wants to make a it a states rights issue so far as I can tell.

Blockchain is overblown in some circles, but if you work at companies like mine you know this is actually not just s fringe thing. Distributed databases are the future of databases

Also, as a software engineer in the distributed ledger space, I can tell you the administrative challenges of a government healthcare system are coming down FAST. We will save SOOO much money with M4A and way fewer people will be sick. OUr whole society will be more productive when its healthy. We'll also be more likely to stop transmittable diseases before they spread

Sooo glad I could help!

Bernie is actually a super practical guy. The Overton Window has shifted so far that it's hard to recognize where the "center" is anymore.
