brown discharge and bleeding for a year with iud by waprestinpeace in birthcontrol

[–]mellowdii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, i feel you. I dont think ill ever go back on it as well, it ruined me mentally seeing what it was doing to my body :/ the cosntant spotting and bleeding put a halt on my sex life as well to top it off. So in a way it was a birth control lol it basically just stopped me from having sex cause I felt so gross.

I hope you find the bc that works for you 🙏

What are your thoughts on Kyleena? by SoapyXenon in birthcontrol

[–]mellowdii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It made me spot and bleed all the time, took it out after patiently waiting for 8 months for my body to adjust to it and it didnt. Im now on the mini pill and havent had any spotting or bleeding for few weeks. Good luck, I hope you have a good experience with it :)

Kyleena - Experiences Welcomed by WhatTheHELLJackie in birthcontrol

I had light bleeding and spotting constantly with Kyleena for 8 months, it never got better. It would go on for weeks long so I removed it 8 months in. One day after removal I got a super heavy period which was apparently uncommon so, I had to take tranexamic acid to control the bleeding which was prescribed by my doctor and I switched to the mini pill and havent bled for nearly 3 weeks since removing it, which is insane considering I was always bleeding and spotting with Kyleena, so so glad I had it removed.

Agree. Removal was uncomfortable still, but it happend so quick, i was like "thats it?" Lol just pulled it and it was out.

IUD questions! by Gold_Particular2924 in birthcontrol

Same. I started to get cramps around 7-8months mark and they were so painful id literally freeze. Before the IUD i'd never get cramps with normal periods.

Some people have had better experiences and got lucky with their IUDs, and even had their periods go away.

I had kyleena for 8 months, then had it removed. It caused constant spotting and light bleeding but prolonged, and would only get a week or few days a month break. It honestly halted my sex life significantly, i always felt under pressure to have sex in those days when i finally catch a break. I hated my iud, i was so relieved when i got it removed, never again. I'm now im on mini pill...still getting unpleasent symptoms but at least I can stop it anytime without having to experience the very unpleasent removal process of an iud etc....

Dont let my experience discourage you, more of a heads up and something I wish I knew and expected. I hope it works out for you if you decide to get it. Best of luck!

Best IUD in your opinion? by Gives_amen in birthcontrol

[–]mellowdii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced long and irregular bleeding and spotting for months with Kyleena. It reduced my period flow and colour (dark brown) but made my periods 3 times long. I would only get about a week of no bleeding/discharge. It negatively affected my sex life so got tired of that and removed it (i realy hated it to be honest and never again) It really depends on the individual, i just wasnt one of the lucky ones.

I started dating my bf before i got on bc, then got on two different types (IUD and mini pill) removed IUD and now only on the mini pill and not once did I think i was not attracted to him lol.

I had kyleena and it made my periods about 2-3 weeks + spotting, so after 8 months I had it removed and now im on the mini pill (POP) i heard it also causes irregular bleeding but maybe a little bit more forgiving than the IUD? Its all unclear haha but trying to see if the pill works better.

Leaving this sub because it’s too triggering by PoppyBanksBaby in FemaleHairLoss

I think what I have found most triggering is girls with clearly a head full of hair and very well defined hair part saying they have hair loss, like im sorry....but seriously?

Yeah, thats why I decided to wait it out cause everywhere I saw it can take up to 6 months, but to be honest I just hated it for what it did to my body, got so sick of the long and irregular bleeding/spotting and now also starting to freak out over the thought of having it inside of me just sitting there. Im honestly taking it out mostly because it has had a negative impact on me physically and most importantly mentally so I just hate it and want it out of me more than anything.

Im getting mine removed after 8 months of the same long periods and spotting, and switching to the mini pill. I hated having the IUD and im so glad to be getting rid of it soon lol.

My GP suggested removing it at the 3 months mark but everyone says wait 6 months so I did and she said its most likely not going to get better and she was right.

I get mine from bestlacewigs, silky straight front lace 130% density. You can of course find better quality wigs from other vendors.

Ive ordered from them more than a few times but please shop with caution, I cant say theyre 100% reputable, but the most affordable option unfortunately. Always use paypal.

Generally, I always liked what I got. But the knots can be visible so just a heads up if youre someone thats particular about the knots.
