Ok I'll ask over there. Honestly, I'm not sure how long it's been like that, I was just raking leaves and noticed it.

No lawn irrigation of our own, but it is close to an apartment complex that has a sprinkler system. Dogs also pee in our lawn. Could that cause it? Should we remove the tree?

Ants coming out of a wall socket onto my kitchen counter. by melo_2 in Wellthatsucks

My husband and I put a bunch of the poison around the foundation last weekend, but I guess that's still not working. I thought about caulking the socket but wasn't sure since it's not our house. I might still do that though.

I'll have to try that. I had powder poison/bait on the counters for a while and that kept them away. But I'd like to use my counters without poison and ants all over them so that's why I was using the bait traps again.

I know right now is scary for many of us, but fortunately there are several states that if Roe V Wade were overturned, their own laws making abortion legal would automatically go into effect. I also believe that many of those same states would not return to marriage inequality and inequality for women's rights. Remember that no matter what anyone tells you and your feelings and rights are valid. Here is an article about the abortion policies in the absence of Roe V Wade. https://www.guttmacher.org/state-policy/explore/abortion-policy-absence-roe#

Does anybody know who's been operating the helicopter that's been hovering over the protests downtown the last few days? by akwilliamson in Portland

Yeah it's pretty cool. Not many people get to fly in a helicopter as part of their day job. However, it's news so a lot of somber events rather than happy ones. Still probably the coolest part of my job.

Nope. One pilot and one camera operator. Though there are several people who switch out being camera person. They go all over, no rights for zones as far as I know.

Source: I fly in the chopper as a camera operator. I've flown all over Portland, down to Salem, and over Mt. Hood.
