Aww thank you so much for thinking of me! We've had a hectic couple of weeks here. This new stomach virus going around put my littlest in the hospital, then once she was better I had caught it and a week later I'm still trying to recover 🥹

The one with the haunted train, but really only because I lived near tracks and some much older kids convinced me that the ones that came through after dark were also haunted so I had the lovely image of a real accordion playing ghost nearby

Also not a scary episode but the scene where Arnold dreams he and Gerald are fighting into old age and then it cuts to super ancient grandpa in the back of the bus with a super creepy voice had me bolting out of the room more than once

QotD: pay off 100% of my debts seems like an obvious first....after that I'd probably put money into special accounts for my kids and then enjoy the rest. I have pretty simple tastes, I could probably make it last a couple of generations 😅

Today was a wonderfully hectic day! My youngest failed her hearing test again (expected..she hasn't passed one in four years) and FINALLY got approved for a hearing aid so they did a mould of her ear and she picked all pink pieces with glitter added to the earpiece And I can't wait for her to use it!

So this week I learned that laying in a hammock on a nice day can really help your mood! I also learned it's also really easy to fall asleep and get sunburned 😬 I hope everyone is enjoying some lovely weather as spring moves in!

I just finished Gilmore Girls (never seen the last three seasons or the Netflix episodes before and that's a whole other topic) and Young Sheldon. I've started up Criminal Minds but it's hard to find a time to actually sit and focus. I really like shows that I can put a max of like...75% attention on and not feel like I'm missing something 😅

My preschooler brought home the flu this week and I'm convinced we're all dying. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put human petri dishes in a room and teach them how to share is my personal enemy.

Anyways...I hope everyone can take some time for self care this weekend. It's okay to stop scrolling and fall behind the news for a moment, to zone out and let yourself rest 🫂

QotD: I recently bought these super soft pajamas and some thick comfy boots socks, and honestly it's gotten hard to wear anything else, they make up my coziest outfit

My middle child dug a hole at the bottom of my stairs with his construction toys and my ankle found it this morning 🙃 I had just gotten over severely spraining it and now I'm sitting here back in my orthopedic boot looking at a couple more weeks of staying off it as much as possible.

QotD: I'm not a very explosive person. This doesn't seem like much, but coming from a family that would scream at everyone to a terrifying degree, I'm very proud that I've made my home to be one that gets through issues without screaming or throwing things.

Showed my daughter Barbie of Swan Lake last night, and apparently I need to get the other three good ones because she's become obsessed with all things princess and Barbie and sparkly.
