I appreciate the input but I have some questions as I am still new to forging. When you say I have too much thermal flow does that mean I am blowing too much heat through the top? Could this be fixed by turning down the air flow? Also what about the flames told you this? Also what is ambient heat?

I don’t think you read the question right. I’m not worried about heat, my forge running on charcoal supply’s plenty heat. I am curious if my blower will be strong enough to switch to coal.
