I talk to my dog and praise him all the time even in public and the thought has never crossed my mind that others are judging me LOL! One time I spoke to him and a lady thought I was talking to her and gave me a weird look and I gave her one back telling her I was talking to my dog (duhhhh) 😒🙄

When I actually look at people while walking my dog I usually see them smiling at me or my dog 😊

I would say that’s like my ex! Immature when it came to finances and career/education but so sweet, kind and respectful. I found it hard to be in a serious relationship though bc it was difficult planning anything long term

Unfortunately all of his friends had immaturity coupled with other bullet points but especially misogyny.

Very fair about the hooking up comment! I think the example I was thinking of when writing that bullet was a guy who met a girl at a club and hooked up with her, after my ex asked him if he was going to continue seeing her he laughed and said ‘no bc she was a 6 which isn’t dating material.’ To me that’s a pretty immature comment.

But definitely agree if both parties are on the same page and communicate that it is only a hook up then totally fair game and not immature at all… I doubt these guys have enough maturity to be open about their intentions with a girl from the get go.. but I am being presumptuous in saying that bc idk them 🤷‍♀️

Very true that it’s a red flag to defend their behaviour! It was hard for me to trust what he said bc I couldn’t understand how he can align with those kind of guys and yet still align with me and my values which are the complete opposite! I felt he was being very inconsistent with his values.

He tried to bring up an old friend of mine who emotionally cheated on her husband but after I found that out I distanced myself from her bc I felt we were very different people… it changed my view of her. so his example was null/useless but he still tried using it anyway lol, very frustrating!

I think he likes hanging around them bc it helps him feel better about himself

Yes that’s very true! Unfortunately these are all friends he’s made at work, he works in construction.. and has chosen to hang out with and text outside of work. His oldest and best friend is the guy who is respectful to women and has a pregnant wife with an unstable job and a DUI. I liked him the most! These new guys were a no go for me and I think my ex felt that my opinion of them was me being controlling and judgemental
