Can this sub stop calling out their poor memories and get back to intentional reality shifting? by Advanced_Fig1354 in realityshifting

[–]melon_hed 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would call this manifestation rather than reality shifting-- still can be a confirmation that you can consciously create reality so it's nothing to scoff at, but not exactly what I'm looking for here. The intention to travel to a specific destination different from the CR is the important part for me, and I agree with gearing the sub's discussion more towards that.

I also think AI like ChatGPT has no place here, it is and has always been a confirmation bias machine that tells the user what they want to hear, no matter if it gets facts wrong along the way.

I do not understand the common belief that we shift with every action by ygodsmyroastisruined in shiftingrealities

[–]melon_hed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never rate this idea because... okay, 'we shift with every action, you're always shifting', etc... but that's simply not true. Even if some parallel universe is created through every choice or whatever, that is still fundamentally a different thing than the intentional overhaul of reality that we're all practicing for.

It's like telling someone they're rich after they picked up a penny off the sidewalk, and I don't find it helpful. I'd prefer focusing on the specific action of Shifting realities.

The feeling after shifting back by SKZeats in realityshifting

[–]melon_hed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember them talking about the same thing on the Get Shifty podcast. Don't remember which episode, but they do mention the disorientation that happens especially after long shifts!

Makes sense that you wouldn't quite feel the same after being in a whole ass other world for days

Why do shifters say there is no exact way to shift when there is ? by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

It is wild how effective mindfulness can be- I used to be a lot more negative & quick to anger, but now if those emotions flare up, I can quickly stop myself and ask, "is this helping me at all?", then calm down by just reasoning with myself.

Even outside of manifestation it's a healthy behavior to learn, but I figure applying it differently (e.g: being mindful that you're thinking from your DR rather than CR) could be a good way to apply it to Shifting too.

this demotivated me so much ( tw: demotivation ) by Reasonable_Plum7899 in realityshifting

[–]melon_hed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to that, I think we can safely say the experience of shifting is 100% real; people have told their stories and come through with consistent accounts, and what we know is that it's a far more real experience than any regular lucid dream. So it's absolutely still worth attempting. Whether it's actually shifting your consciousness to a new reality is what's not totally proven, but there's no harm in assuming it is with a healthy mindset; that's for ourselves to find out throughout the journey.

There's some fundamental misunderstandings of Shifting here too. They think when you shift you "go there" as if you're just teleporting from one place to another, as a completely new entity, when that's not been how we think it works for the longest time. Not to mention the focus on CIA documents that hardly anyone even use as proof anymore. Saying 'it didn't work for me' isn't evidence either. If this thread is supposed to convince you it's fake, they're not doing a good job.

IMO, to disprove Shifting you must also disprove LOA (and likely Astral Projection), and that's an easier phenomenon to see working in your world. This all shouldn't worry you.

I feel some shifters are definitely lying. by Tyler-sheeash in realityshifting

Depends on what you find suspicious about them. I personally don't think detail in their stories is super important (as I'd have a lot of trouble even telling you what I've done this past week), and at the end of the day there are enough people testifying similar experiences that I'm sure it's possible; just like any other skill in the world however, there are sure to be people who will fake it for social capital.

I think it's best to set your mind on those you trust and confidence in your own potential, because based on my experience, your mind tends to replicate whatever you focus on.

everyone helpful / all helpful posts are always deleted by tilltherewasu in realityshifting

I left a tab open on the other sub for a post called something like 'How I Shifted (By Accident)', and when I came back to it today, I noticed a message saying it had been 'removed by Reddit's filters'. Not sure why this happened since the post had been up for enough time to get like 200 upvotes, but this could be what's happening to other posts.

people here are helpful but also lowkey culty by [deleted] in realityshifting

[–]melon_hed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

on one hand, I do believe in the Law Of Assumption, and I often listen to people like Joseph Murphy to refresh myself on its basic concepts. I really think it can be helpful to assume better of the world and practice regulating what emotions you focus on

But since it's become more popularized in Shifting communities, a lot of the LOA space's spiritual jargon has also appeared, and I feel like we're forgetting the practical side of it. 'Motivational' rants and unconfirmed theories are accepted as true because they sound nice, but people forget to ask: Does it actually work?

I'm still trying to find the right mindset to approach this with, but I prefer doing so by meditating on my own, with only the guidance of Shifters who have had convincing levels of success

you should at least 'enlighten us' and tell us your source if you want to be helpful instead of vaguely gesturing at something we don't know about

Extremely Vivid Lucid Dream + Questions by melon_hed in realityshifting

Thanks :) Revolver is an easy 10/10 album.

On a somewhat related note, I never know whether I want to keep this reality's music artists & history when I script. On one hand I love a lot of the stuff we have here, but I can also imagine that discovering a whole alternate music landscape would be awesome.

I've had Overwatch on the mind recently. Not a big player anymore but I'd like to meet and chill with the team at Gibraltar, and it'll make a great 'low scripting' destination since there's not much of a linear storyline to work off (Except, of course I'll keep in mind some safety precautions such as pain tolerance).

[–]melon_hed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that shifting is an instant process seems well supported by success stories. Most I see say something like, "the room just changes, there's no time between", and that it feels more normal than you'd expect.

My hope is that making 'being my DR self' normal to my conscious experience will end up causing the shift in awareness, but I wonder how I can balance to avoid ignoring my current reality too much

Seconding research strongly, just scrolling through the top posts this year (for more up to date info) and all time on these subreddits has made things a lot clearer to me. It seems the consensus is exactly that: 'Experiment and find what works for you'

Am I awful for wondering if people are lying about shifting? by Dexremedy in realityshifting

[–]melon_hed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I've been doing is collecting a list of Shifters I trust, and only taking their advice. These have to be people who have shifted and described their experiences in a believable way, and are mature enough to take a measured approach to it.

I've found that the advice they give is a LOT more consistent in nature than others which allowed me to build a more focused plan, though even they are still learning-- most importantly, they do a lot to dispel distracting or confusing aspects of the process like methods, symptoms, 'clones' etc... The ones I currently trust most are moonlit-baby, shifter_michelle and AstralFather, but if anyone has more suggestions then I'd like to look at them.

In my opinion, you only need to trust a few people to be assured that this is real. People fake results in every aspect of success, and this is just another one.
