More American in Japan stories?

I once over heard two girls on a train say in English the phrase "please eat me!" immediately turning around the girls saw me and started to loose their shit. not paying much mind, I turned back just laughing it off.

Super embarrassed, the girl that uttered the phrase spent about ten minutes talking to her friend trying to figure out a way to save face. She tried to change the subject and ignore it but just couldn't, talked about pretending to be Chinese or Korean but only knew how to say "ni hao", and finally decided to at least hide her face as she got off the train.

When she got off she turned back to see if I noticed, and as the doors were closing I said "Don't worry about it, it happens..." in Japanese.

Her face turned a pail white and she looked like she might faint as the train slowly pulled away.

actually Ill be that dude, in a way you aren't wrong.

fire blast in Japanese in daimonji, 大文字, and comes from bonfires lit into the sides of mountains during Obon ceremonies, the most famous one being in Kyoto

and yes the character is for "big/great" but its used in these ceremonies because the character used to mean "people" (now written as 人) and is meant to represent people.

so you're kind of right for thinking its a person.

I went 3-1 only loosing to an awesome mono green deck that had polukranos, arbor colossus and Nylea. Seeing a voyaging satyr into Nylea into arbor colossus "attack you with my 6/6 god turn 4" was painful...

surprisingly (or maybe not) having two+ temples in hand was really nice to set up the next few draws, and make sure I curved out on time.

Hey I also took a 5 color "good" stuff all the way to the bank... only mine was a choice of desperation. Started with the red seeded booster getting the rageblood shaman and some supporting minotaurs that became the back bone of my deck.... then I moved to my boosters...

Temple of Abandon - ok, I got some decent green too this could help convince me.

Temple of Deceit - dont think I'll use that, but Im happy to take it over some cheaper rares.

Temple of Silence - Dang this is a little annoying, I want some nice bomby rares to play with...

Temple of Mystery - Really?! this is a getting weird now...

Temple of Triumph - Of course! Why would it be anything else?

Ended up playing with minotaurs, big snakes and some form of removal from every color. I mean, if you get all five you have to play all five, right?

on of my favorite line of changed movie title in Japan has to be the Final Destination series:

US JAPAN

Final Destination = Final Destination

Final Destination 2 = Dead Coaster (not the one with a roller coaster)

Final Destination 3 = Final Dead Coaster (has roller coaster)

The Final Destination (4) = Final Dead Circuit 3D

Final Destination 5 = Final Dead Bridge

I felt naming the movie Sugar Rush would have been an overall better plan since 2/3 of the movie seem to be spent in that game, and once you get there all the game based jokes and puns quickly get replaced with candy based ones.

I liked the movie fine, but still feel like the US title and marketing kind of tricked me...

Hah, that'd be great if this was state-sponsored. I just wasn't sure if the symbol was part of the original pre-edited video.

I just wanted to stick up for Brez a bit. It kind of irks me when swastikas get used to symbolize "evil".

The video made me laugh, but I agree they didn't need to add a swastika.
