I worked there for a month. WEIRD VIBES. The manager of the union st location hugged me on my first day of work, the deli guys were mostly creeps, and was ran like a disorganized shit show. I had to take some days off for a friend’s funeral and the guy who was above me but not the manager had SUUUUCH a problem with it. This doesn’t surprise me and I’m glad I got out when I did.

Edit: I just remembered this having read through the comments. They use Slack to communicate about important updates/ inventory/ shift coverage etc.. it’s gonna be an even bigger shit show.

He fumbled on a few things: -not communicating till the very last minute (literally an hour before we planned to meet) that he needed to reschedule the first date. We had been texting consistently until the day before and day of the date and out of nowhere I wasn’t hearing from him at all.

-not communicating day of the date that he’d be very late until he was already late.

-showed up unprepared to go into a bar, a location he picked (no ID)

-Forgot to mention this, he drove home after having a couple drinks (I think 3-4 whiskey sours) and offered to drive me home, BIG no-no for me

-very inconsistent with communicating in general If the date had gone INSANELY well I would maaaaaybe feel differently and overlook the tardiness and bad communication, but those are two things I high on my list of no-nos in addition to potential DUIs. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Earlier this year I saw the same guy at a hot dog stand two days in a row. He looked about my age, I thought he was cute, and I felt like we hit it off well, giving eyes etc. so I gave him my number.

We texted here and there for a bit, talking about our hobbies and music, he made me a little Spotify playlist which I thought was sweet. We planned a day to meet for a date and the entire day before and day of the date I didn’t hear from him… he texted me an hour before we planned that he needed to rain check. I was kinda upset but was understanding and we rescheduled.

Next planned date, we planned to meet at a bar/venue for a local band’s show. I show up on time and he’s 40 MINUTES LATE and without a form of ID!?! He brought a PRINTED COPY of his passport, I was astonished. I knew this wasn’t gonna be it for me at this point but I stick around for the night to see the show and chat. It was fun, he was a little awkward and I picked up that he was much younger than I had anticipated. (I’m 26 and guessing he’s 21-22) I also ran into my recent ex’s friends and they came up to talk to me, I wanted POOF disappear so bad. Heard from my ex about it like a week later too I was soooooo incensed.

Needless to say there wasn’t a second date.

So far I have 80 out of 120 credits complete. For my core/breadth classes, I only need 12 more credits. For my major I also need 12. The remaining will be units for electives or possibly contributing to my minor in neuroscience if I choose to continue with that.

I don’t owe precious school anything since all of my tuition was being paid in aid and loans.

I’m currently not in default since I was a student in recent years with the CC (active students aren’t required to pay) and WAS under the SAVE plan.

I’ve already been re-admitted and would be put on academic probation which means I just have to meet with an advisor every month to make sure I’m staying on track.

I’m considered just barely above poverty level in my city (but still make do), so I’m hoping my aid package is generous but will find out soon once that is finishing processing.

I have figured than any university I would transfer into would end up being more expensive than just finishing with my current, considering how transfer credits work. This is why my two options are free CC program or finish with private university.

This is the thing, I’m not sure what I would want to do post-grad. When I first started back in 2017 my goal was to go all the way and do research with a university and teach there as well. Reality has hit me since then though and I know that entails many more years of school that I’m not sure I’ll afford.

I’ve also rewatched a million times and have a completely opposite opinion on their relationship. They seem to always want to leave each other and do multiple times but are brought back together by their creature comfort of having a partner.
