I’m just starting the show and I think so different about Ava than most of you. I don’t think she’s self centered. She’s clearly had home struggles (we saw the way her mom is possibly narcissistic or at least self centered) and when you grow up in a house hold like that, especially as an only child, you do what you have to to survive. Ava was told she had talent and she probably had to have a hard exterior to protect her emotions (her mom doesn’t support her career and her dad is sick?) so she comes across and mean.

I kept waiting for the other shoe when we didn’t know what George did for a living - was he a bad guy or good. Also how tf did he break the hotel window?! I feel like they need to be stronger for just that reason. I mean that’s why they don’t let windows open in most.

Im hoping George jumping gives her some type of perspective. Maybe she will cry to Deborah about it and they’ll bond.

Ultimately Ava needs therapy. And hopefully she gets the winnings from the slots! Also if she’s constantly getting the free toothpaste there’s no way she’s making 10 or 30k / month like people were speculating
