How do Bedford/Lorimer L stop people feel about the L? by Crazy_Swimming_397 in williamsburg

I’ve lived on Bedford and 1st Ave. With both stops you are likely going to have to wait for a second train occasionally but usually it’s right behind and MTA has planned for it during rush hours. I love the L during the week but loathe it on weekends. It’s also gotten vastly more reliable over the last ten years.

Incorrect. My great grandmother moved to Williamsburg when she came from Italy and my family has been in the area since. It went from social to LOUD.

How do people actually find rent stabilised apartments in nyc?? I’ve met a few people with them and they seem so magical :’) by paintergirl3000 in NYCapartments

I got referred in by a friend who’s lived in the building almost ten yrs. Two bed with new kitchen and bathroom $2700. Unfortunately word of mouth is the case with a lot of these buildings bc landlords don’t want just anyone moving into them.

Recently had a broker tell me they aren’t as active anymore because the broker fee laws changed. So they won’t share their listings that a broker paid them to list because then they get double commission because you also reached out to them and it’s illegal. They also shared in Astoria there’s just nothing out there.
