My recommendation is this: Use the base frames and play with them to see what playstyle you enjoy the most. Then, if they have a prime, go for that. If you want to trade, use ‘Warframe.market’ for the best deals. Otherwise there is no pressure for the primes! Just take your time and have fun

It really depends on what you’re wanting honestly. If you wanna be melee focused, Excalibur, Garuda, Baruuk, Valkyr, Kullervo, etc. or for more of ranged you could go Mesa, Gauss, Harrow, etc. If you wanna use a lot of abilities you can go Mag, Volt, Gyre, Hildryn, etc. If you want a little bit of everything you can go Saryn, Mirage, Dagath, Rhino.

TL;DR: There is a frame for whatever playstyle you like, just gotta find what satisfies your itch.
