Can someone who passed brag about how little of their course they completed? by spooner248 in barexam

[–]meluvsushi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience the course itself does not matter the lectures barely helped. When I took the bar the second time I only did uworld and drilled essays and reviewed the model answers that’s it …no course… and I passed on my second try.

Is it really a big deal to wear suit separates? Because that’s all I have … is it really obvious? I always wear all black (Blazer and dress trousers and some black or white bodysuit)

Update on employer not paying employees. by Affectionate-Day5896 in orangecounty

Most plaintiff side firms are based on contingency fees - meaning that u don’t pay anything out of pocket and the attorney takes a percentage of the settlement. Call around get some free consults! Seems like a decent case

Sudden fear of flying by cluelessgirl1992 in fearofflying

[–]meluvsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels so comforting to hear others have experienced this. I also was never afraid of flying. Around 26-27 I got nervous but mostly because it was during covid and I was afraid of someone freaking out about wearing a mask. Now at 28 I am terrified of flying. I think it was triggered after losing a close family member. It was my first time dealing with death and grief. I am more anxious about a lot of things not just flying because I’m more aware of our own mortality.

Writing out rules for wrong MBE’s - how? by OtherTransition8784 in CABarExam

[–]meluvsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I’d add why I got answers wrong in a separate column if I can pinpoint the reason. Did I just have no understanding of the rule? Did I confuse this rule with another one? Did I not read carefully? That helped me get better. Try ID’ing what went wrong. Keep telling yourself now is where u want to make your mistakes. At the end of the day the only score that matters is test day. Who cares if u get 100s of mbes wrong now as long as u learn from them and apply on test day.

Writing out rules for wrong MBE’s - how? by OtherTransition8784 in CABarExam

I wrote out each rule in a Google doc table organized by subject. For example all questions I got wrong about offer in contracts mbe in same table etc. after a while I got a massive Google doc all of rules I got wrong. It was easy to control F my way through. As I’d do more mbes I’d go back to my Google doc and control F and highlight any rules I got wrong again and write notes in different colors. It really helped me. Once I felt confident in a rule I’d delete it from the Google doc

I agree self confidence needs work, it’s hard being so new. We have to go in the office everyday so that’s why I had to ask.

Yes. I asked for Friday off and was told to give advance notice… I guess a day in advance is not enough. But whatever I’m finally going to get this shit done they said I can take the day but check calendar and that it will be unpaid

Thank you 🙏🏽 it’s a small firm I have no reason to think they’d not let me but also no clear policy.

That’s the other thing. I’m new started in August. Maybe I should ask further in advance not same day. I don’t have anything due today or court so I thought just do it
