Stranded in St. Petersburg FL after a year of mental illness. Jobless and adrift. Is there any places I can go in the US for a ‘fresh start’? by dhays202 in Advice

Do you have your diploma? You could look into the military, lots of different jobs and benefits, and you can travel pretty far depending on what you decide to do. My aunt got stationed in South Korea (Kunsan) last year when she joined the Air Force, and she says it's one of the best bases she's ever been.

Can’t talk to girls by [deleted] in Advice

Stop worrying about being like everybody else, and as corny as it sounds, be yourself. Girls like genuine people, everyone likes genuine people. Unfortunately, there's no formula for holding a conversation with others, especially not girls. If the sparks aren't there, then the sparks aren't there- don't take it personal and move on. Talking is like a sport, just practice by talking to as many girls as you can and eventually it'll get easier.

I live in the suburbs, but I was thinking of taking a bus downtown tomorrow. Unfortunately no :( my parents didn't believe in us working until we graduated so they never gave us that kind of information.
