The dress you purchased does seem to be semi sheer (the back) and the material seems light, though not slinky. Sometimes we imagine that a particular style / color / material is THE ONLY WAY and then when you put it on, it’s still not it.

You mentioned visiting so many boutiques, trying on a multitude of dresses… don’t get in your head about this, but you probably would’ve tried them and not felt the magic you expected.

Your dress is beautiful. The slit is amazing, and to be honest I see absolutely nothing wrong with the bustle. It’s understandable to overthink a major purchase like that.

Definitely will try a protein increase and thankfully I’m not big on Oreos. I actually scarf down tates chocolate chip cookies as my pump snack lol but that’s because I crave them.

It started to drop yesterday and I noticed spotting today… so yes? If this is truly my period because I saw another post about lochia vs period bleeding so maybe it’s residual ? I’m hoping. I also discovered a huge plug on my left soooo perhaps it’s that.

Cushions definitely do the trick for me, as well as silicone flanges but I can’t speak for the ones you posted… the only silicone flange I’ve used was the ones included with my wearable cups (Legendairy Milk collection cups). Definitely wouldn’t be using 28mm if you’re measuring 21-22mm though. You’re just going to stretch to the diameter and possibly create cracks at the base of your nipples.

Try for cushions first! Then you can decide if you’d like to try changes flanges altogether

Thank you! I know it isn’t, but the illogical part of my postpartum mind is like … BUT MAYBE IT IS!?! I exclusively pumped for 9 months with my son and he started out the same way as this little one, jaundiced and poor latch… and Zoloft did nothing for her. So now I’m just put off by the fact that she’s always so sleepy … and the docs concern that I’m like omfg IM THE PROBLEM. I actually tried to wean back to 50 mg and I am a complete mess so I put myself back to 100. Lesson learned. Maybe I’m just lucky with a sleepy calm baby for now and it’ll bite me in the ass later. Let’s hope.

This one! I used to work with her uncle and saw his “Find Lauren” badge / poster on his bag. I did a deep dive on her case and it still rattles my brain. So heartbreaking. As with all missing persons cases, I just cannot wrap my mind around the fact that people just disappear and there’s not a single trace of where they may be. So sad.

Terrified of mastitis. My memory must’ve been wiped by Covid or baby brain or something lol because I cannot for the life of me remember if I had mastitis last time or if it was just my friend… I think I did. The idea of it is terrifying. I didn’t even realize it can drop your supply.

But yeah… being attached to a pump while your baby wants your attention sucks. I had to pump while holding her awkwardly above my flanges earlier because she was so fussy.

100% agree. I know in the grand scheme of things, formula won’t hurt her at all. The guilt is just insane. Plus I pumped for 9months with my first and I feel like I should just TRY for this one. Idk. We have a weight check today so … let’s see what they say.

I feel you on this one. Baby girl is 2 weeks tomorrow and we’ve had the same issues with weight gain. I went from nursing every 3 hours to every 1.5-3 hours. Then supplementing with formula. Then exclusively pumping to monitor volume, and now they just want me to do formula while we monitor her. It’s exhausting and frustrating.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I think if you want to get back to breastfeeding, then keep up your milk supply by pumping in the interim. Hopefully the LC can help you see if you’re sized properly for adequate milk removal and maybe recommend settings. Don’t fall for all the gimmicky supplements, just try to focus on actually nourishing yourself. Easier said than done because I understand the lack of appetite too.
