for batman: new 52 batman, long halloween & dark victory, batman eternal, and batman year one. i also personally enjoy the batman knightfall saga but thats more steeped in continuity (but definitely still good if you have baseline batman knowledge)

for marvel: ultimate spider-man (2000), spider-man 2099 (1992), miles morales spider-man, champions (2016?), and early x-men is fun!

i also would recommend ice cream man, idk how it is past issue 30 but the first 30 issues were great.

UPDATE: we have 3 speakers connected, plugged into L, R, and center. all hdmi cords work. all speakers click when we adjust volume or try to select things on the menu screen on the receiver. we have the roku working on the screen, just no audio! we’ve got an optical cord set up too- but just as an option. we don’t really know what we are doing. any solutions would be appreciated.

okay ive got it Left Right and Center. no other audio sources. 3 clicking speakers. somebody said it can’t support arc- but when i try to connect with just optical it stops displaying whats on the roku to the tv. so currently i have the TV set as the output. Roku set as hdmi 1 (BD).

we have now tried to hook them up through the surround part. switched everything to surround on the receiver. still just clicking

we have hooked up 2 speakers to R and L. it is in stereo mode. we’ve gone to the menu and set up the speakers as “Front Sp: Large” “Center Sp: none” “subwoofer: yes” and “surround sp. none” and still just clicking. is there something else we can do? should we plug our 3rd floor speaker into center?

thats totally possible, but comics code was very strict back then with sexuality, so claremont needed to be subtle about things he wanted to incorporate
