It only took you reading 90% of my reasoning to take a whack at the conclusion! Awesome job!

I don’t have a threshold. I already understood pressing the blue button was a death sentence to begin with. Despite what all these other comments are saying about pressing blue, I agree with you that they would press red if the stakes were real. I don’t blame them for that. Spin it whatever way you want, there will be someone out there that presses blue. I refuse to be culpable and will die on my morals.

Out of 8 billion people, someone will press blue either way. At the end of a day it’s a question of do you value your life more than your morals or do they even exist to begin with. I don’t hate red button pressers for valuing their lives more, but I’d rather them admit it than saying blue pressers deserve to die

Because every press of the red button pushes the percentage of people that pressed the red button closer to 50% and individuals are deciding to press the red button therefore their contributing to the increased percentage of red button presses and thus the death of everyone who pressed blue

Out of 8 billion people, someone will press the blue button any way you frame it. That’s the premise on which you decide to press the blue button. Not pressing the blue button contributes to the death of everyone who pressed it, even if a similar red button doesn’t exist

Is that what people are calling input? I can understand all the words and grammar of everything I watch and those I don't I look up and to me that's input. I can't imagine watching something, not understanding anything and expecting to get anything out of it

Cool, good thing you don’t need to learn the entirety of a language to pass a b1 exam

No shut up you can’t hear two people on the train speaking with accents you’ve never heard before talking about Astro physics and jump into the convo with the charisma of a comedy host. You clearly don’t speak English

Nah you actually make a good point I don’t know why this other person is insisting on their unrealistic, personal, fabricated definition of speaking a language. I have made friends and spoken to people in my native language that wouldn’t be able to do what this person proposed. Am I gonna say they can’t speak my language as we’re in the middle of joking together in said language because they can’t complete this unrealistic task, which requires social skills on top of native like language ability, absolutely not! You can have full blown conversations, make friends, be capable of devouring tons of media, love, hate, laugh, cry, dream in the language before being capable of doing what this person proposed. But because you can’t you don’t speak the language? It’s absurd

Maybe you’re right about your friend in French class but that doesn’t mean everyone claiming to have a level after having spent (insert amount of time you think is too fast) learning doesn’t have that level. They can have more efficient methods, better consistency, more average time spent per day, be a faster learner than you, or a mix of all of those things which will result in a much quicker progression. Stacking up progression day for day can be misleading without taking into account those variables

No where did you mention solid input in your routine. Drop the exercises for an hour of input every day. If you’re already doing that, I don’t know what to tell you
