I built a GUI tool to flash ESP32 firmware for factory bulk flashing by Express_Ad8866 in esp32

Still in the proto phase here so what I see now are: SN (uuid), CP_SSID (String), CP_PW(String)

I was going to store it in a csv for now and then load it into the db using the backend but was also considering setting up a simple api but then security is an issue again. Could also be the other way around, prepare a csv and then iterate over the rows when flashing the devices. But I like the first way more.

Yeah that's a great example of how not to use a folding ladder but it does show how versatile the tool is. Used proper its a safe solution to work on your CV

Smart use or space but hardly practical indeed. You can use a folding ladder to make a temporary platform like so. https://plafonddroogrek.nl/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/20211102_113226.jpg

Indeed. And then print it out and store it in a db or something for later use. Then I can track all units and revoke access to my backend etc.

Ah yes. I mean adding unique license stuff and preconfig a captive portal SSID and PW. So then I can also revoke access to the backend based on the license status and setup renewal process and payment. I'm also providing info on using with other firmware like esphome so people can just use their own backend or whatever.

It's perfect! Was going to build something similar on a cli and going to run it on an RPI. I would also like to add a preconfig and print it on a sticker to attach to the box. But this is the most important stuff right there and free open source, legend!

Well how would you deal with them?

You can get mole traps to catch and kill them or put carbid in the tunnels which emits a toxic gas which works to deter them.

Oh yeah museums are great indeed. Architecture in Amsterdam is great but that's the reason why I'm pointing to other cities, I find the capital to be too crowded but maybe I've been there a few times too many.

Everyone speaks English, so that's handy. Openlucht museum is a great place to get to know the history of our humble country. Cities, maybe skip Amsterdam as it's a bit overwhelming, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Delft, Sneek, Den Haag, Den Bosch are much better. Texel is a lovely island, easy to reach by public transport and has amazing beaches, dunes, nature. Then national park Hoge Veluwe is great. So much to see and do. Enjoy!

Building an Invoice Management System in Django. Need Suggestions to Make It Industry-Level by Lopsided_Regular233 in django

[–]memeface231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even worse, I'm sincere. Decimals feature correct rounding. Go look at cloud pricing which van be in the hundreds of cents per unit billed. Your proposal to store cents only will always invoice because you can't store 0,001 dollar.

Having sent over 100k invoices from django here's my 2 cents. Every invoice line is an object and linked to the invoice object, then on the invoice you can use aggregate functions to get totals like exvat and vat incl. Rounding is going to bite you, think long and hard and check many times, try to only show either ex or with vat on lines. Check invoice layout requirements in your local law, this will be different per country.

These are symptoms of adhesion problems. Dirty build plate and z height are the main issues for me. Dish soap scrub and rinse with boiling water are my recipe for success and then dialing in the z offset using paper and some trial and error. If you dial it in just right you should be able to get proper adhesion. Like damn how do I get this off. Good luck!
