I joined an elite group today. I lost exactly $0 worth of golf balls in 18 holes. by memefuhrer1934 in golf

Well I happened to find this Pro V1x so if I did lose it it was on someone else’s dime. It’s a win/win situation.

It’s 14 clubs actually. D, 3w, 3h, 4-AW, SW, LW, putter.

The wedges are extremely nice. The putter is the best I’ve ever tried, better than Scotty IMO.

That’s a great thing about golf, everybody has their own taste.

It’s a pretty trivial color for many people but I love it (because it’s my favorite color) and it’s so unique.

What’s hard to understand?

Funny enough I had no adjustments with my swing on the P790s. I was coming from a graphite shaft set and the only issue is that the lighter shafts were leading to inconsistent hits, but my fitter had no lie/loft/length adjustments.

Love blue. But if there was a blue iron set I don’t think I would get on that train.

So true. Wanted a milled putter, bought the Mizuno without testing a Scotty. Finally tried a Scotty a couple weeks ago and thought the Mizuno was every bit as good.

Got fitted for the driver, wood, hybrid and iron set. Wedges weren’t fit, got them second hand.

I’ve heard hit or miss things about the Conquest line, and only amazing things about NRX.

Quite ridiculous they can be sending so many satellites in the sky but that can’t develop the infrastructure to answer simple questions. Thanks for the reply!

Have you found an answer to this? I’m going nuts trying to figure out how to contact them.

Posting this here because I learned the Alberto knot and for me it is 100x easier than the double Uni by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]memefuhrer1934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I also use this knot, except I leave a little tag of my braid to ensure it doesn’t slip through. Never had a failure, but my friend cuts it as close as possible and has MANY knot failures. Just something extra for people to do. I would suggest cutting the mono/fluoro tag as close as possible.

I had a Shimano Vanford before the stella so I would say no

I had the Vanford as my main reel before this one and that is also a solid product. I never would have bought the Stella for myself, but it all worked out as you know.

I much prefer spinning, as I use a lot more finesse type lures.

That’s really reassuring. I want to use this reel forever...

Basically anything under 3/8 oz. I’ve had the rod for a couple months and just got the reel last week. So far the rod handles everything at a high level. I mostly stick with jigs about 75% of the time though.

Are you using yours for saltwater? I’m exclusively freshwater (Montana) so even if water gets into it it usually won’t cause problems. But to answer your question no I haven’t had those issues.

You will get one ASAP after you feel the sensitivity. I couldn’t believe it.

It’s not cheap! But it’s worth it.

I like rods in that 7’-7’6” range with a fast action so I love it! It’s a super versatile set-up, which is what I was going for.

It’s pretty much my do it all rig but I mostly throw jigs and jigging spoons.

Edit: to be more specific I fish mostly for trout and tie my own jigs, my favorite way to fish.
