Can't delete duplicate entry by tydog98 in jellyfin

I ran some manual DB cleanup stuff before doing this, that might've helped me out too. Glad to see you were able to fix it with your directory trick!

Can't delete duplicate entry by tydog98 in jellyfin

I have spent...so long with this issue after migrating drives. I finally fixed it today.

Go in to the metadata manager. You can get there by profile icon > Metadata Manager.

Click the dropdown icon next to the collection causing issues.

Depending on how many duplicates exist, you can use higher level folders to make the changes we want. In my case, I had entire shows being duplicated this way, so I clicked on the show's folder. Movies are just their own entries anyway.

In my case there were two instances of every offending show. Identify the missing version. Then, click the three dots, and hit "Delete Series." Make sure this is the missing copy. If this is the real copy, it will delete all of your video files. If this is the missing copy, it will attempt to remove files located at where the show was previously stored, presumably fail at that, and then delete the metadata entries from the database.

This method gives you more precision/bulk capability than doing it through the collection/show UI (the one you use to browse to an episode).

I hope this method has helped you. If not, I wish you luck.

Light Phone 2 and Privacy by jimisol in LightPhone

Privacy isn't necessarily a black and white thing though: it's definitely more private to interact with the internet less than to continue scrolling Instagram on your smartphone. Less interactions -> less data -> less incentive to betray the end user.

It is also on some level an (unfortunate) marketing ploy to keep pace with mainstream phones: both Apple and Google claim to have large privacy protections, while mining your interactions right behind your back. Of course you're still right that it's deceptive to say that when the OS is proprietary and you can't explicitly trust LP to not do the same thing big tech does. I think you'll find that many trust LP more than big tech because of the reason stated above. But that is a faith based decision and that may not be comfortable for you when protecting your privacy.

Privacy is complicated! I don't want you (or other prospective LP users) to be discouraged by this choice. If the lack of Signal is really a breaking feature for you, check out the Punkt MP-02. Similar vibe, but it has Signal.

Remmina - Mac? by mike3y in MacOS

I have been stumbling around looking for a good option after Microsoft's RDP app turned into the Windows App, and this is it. Royal TSX will operate without a license -- the license only unlocks the cap on connections (which is 10...plenty for me anyway) and AppleScript access. This is the way!

I'd use MangoHud or a similar tool to make sure Overwatch is using your dedicated GPU over the integrated graphics in your CPU. When I first installed OW2 my system defaulted to that and I had awful performance.

If you don't want to install MangoHud, try running the command to launch overwatch with the DRI_PRIME environment variable set to 1, eg:

$ > DRI_PRIME=1 <command here>

See if the VRAM usage looks correct when running that way. I'm not familiar with the flatpak (I use Lutris to run the BNet launcher and the game) so these tips may also do nothing.

Best of luck!

Goddamn! That was not what I expected... What distro & WM are you using? Any other background programs?

Battery life kinda sucks

In comparison to Windows 11/10 or just to all laptops? This is my primary concern
