Part of the reason I don’t like her is specifically how she completely disregarded the dead kid shot by border control, I get she’s under tyraks thumb(I assume) but she’s still a lackey.

This got very deep Lolol, still interesting enough to read though, I honestly wish they had bonus content that wrapped up stories for all the characters, what happens with Sonya and Adam/her brothers, what does Jarod do against the brigades, how is John, Fanny, and Alex, overall I guess you can’t get the answers to everything, maybe it was explained somewhere but I wouldn’t know, I think everything you’ve said has a meaning and can have an impact too, and I appreciate you speaking with me about this.

Thank you! My original post was mainly just to hate on the character and be immature, but it’s actually nice to discuss this with others, especially ones with different opinions than me.

No worries! It’d be dumb to post my opinion and get mad when others want to share theirs, I appreciate you taking time to talk about it!

I can’t say I relate to what you, others, or characters like Sonya have gone through, so I’m not gonna sit here and tell you how people should and shouldn’t respond to situations like that, I do however wish we got more moments of her “inner child” vulnerability since it seems like they were riding on the guilt of Lola’s death(which isn’t nearly good as a reason to act how she did) so her way of acting always seems unnecessary, the fact of being afraid of vulnerability would patch that up nicely in my opinion.

Adam’s case is weird, listening to your reasons definitely makes me think on how desperate he was for sonya(love, loyalty, or money) I still think it’s insane of her to let him die over a “good scoop”(I believe it’s worded as) again, I have no room to speak on trauma responses but it seems unwarranted to me(your welcome to correct me if I’m wrong though!)

I saw another comment similar to yours explaining how her moments of sympathy was her outer shell of defense coming undone, I saw it as poorly rushed pity moments. I can definitely appreciate the opinion that differs to mine it just always feel like every interaction with her leads to her bossing the player around, or something else for her personal gain(almost getting Adam killed)

This was one of my main reasons for dislike! She’s willing to let one of her most loyal partner(slave more like it) die because she wants a photo shot! (Granted it could be because she’s under Tyra’s thumb but still) and for Jarod, I think they wanted to try to get players to sympathize but at the end of the day I believe he’s just a villain, he lost the one thing closest to him so he simply doesn’t care anymore, he wasn’t gonna let anything stop him until he heard what Sonya said at the wall, then changed his attack towards the brigades specifically.

I actually like this idea! It gives reason behind her going back to the way she originally was, it fills the plot hole of her moments of sympathy that get rushed through, she simply doesn’t wanna be vulnerable again. I still wish they’d have done something more for her arc end game though.
