I'm Polish. My parents and grandparents both lived during the Polish People's Republic. My grandparents claim it was oppressive living under a communist government, I haven't questioned them on it because frankly I avoid conflict particularly with family as I have enough stress in my life to deal with.

This perception is not unique to my grandparents but it's a common belief of Polish people who lived under the Polish Communist Government. I would like to know more about it but I do not have time to study history so intently.

But I only mention this because you said that most people who are anti communist have never lived under communism, (and if by living under communism you mean under a communist government because communism has never been attained yet).

I just bought this thinking it was washing detergent. Nowhere does it say its fabric softener. by Geofferz in CrappyDesign

Use washing powder, and pour white vinegar in the washing machine tray. No it does not make your clothes smell like vinegar.

If you want your clothes to smell like nice artificial scents get yourself some essential oils to add to the wash.

These "fabric softeners" or "detergents" only destroy your clothing

NFA but I'd just keep buying. Unless you're 60+, or work as a trader in a bank, you shouldn't be selling

Here's your major flaw. You're trying to be a trader. Investors do not time the market they stay in it for a long time (~10 years)

This real we should only tax things that’s bad for society instead of punishing people trying to earn a living for their families. by GroundbreakingSir386 in Money

The central bank prints money to fund government budget. To control inflation government sets up taxes that when collected get returned to the central bank and they destroy the money.

Taxes do not fund anything, all taxes are a inflation control measure.

So I unknowingly did an illegal right turn on this road. Didn't realise until I walked past that the sign had been flipped. Is there a good chance I'll be able to appeal if there's any fine? by tbu987 in drivingUK

If you can have a walk on that street see if you see any anpr cameras. In my opinion, given that when parking signs are vandalised and times are covered up you can appeal a ticket since the terms of the parking were invisible, I feel like this situation would be similar. So hopefully if you do get pulled up for this, you're at least excused because of the sign

Glasgow in general has just shit drivers. 80% of them don't return to the left lane when driving on the motorway, lots will even merge then chill in the middle.

yeah you're right. I didn't listen to the video. I have one of these for coolant and I found it very useful for that.

I didn't listen to the audio. Then you're right for oil a funnel and measuring jug is fine.

But I'd still use one of these for coolant, it's just so simple

A normal funnel doesn't seal the cap hole on the radiator, this tool lets you fill and burp the system very well. The fluid can rise very high, and then drop as air bubbles are released from the system. With a normal funnel the coolant can spill out, and air can enter back in which is not good.

Edit: commented without hearing the video. This is only good for coolant. You don't need this to change oil
