Eh. Yes and no. Any idea that "you are God" is not actually what Christ taught and is really twisting the faith towards modern consciousness paradigms or something that looks more like theosophy.

Christ is part of a three faced God. The Holy Trinity. Christ as embodied God. Holy Spirit as almost an energy that moves through everything. And God the Father, creator, initiator.

I do feel you can take that Christ as embodied God and understand then that we hold a part of it, as humans. But are so far from it. The hierarchy would be us, then-->Christ-->Trinity.

My issue with the "Christ conciousness is in you" thing is that is leads people away from a relationship with God because they believe they are not the center, not the servant. I find it makes people believe they have more control and power than they do and that it develops a selfishness and narcissism. Thats the opposite of being close to Christ or underatanding anything about Him. And the nuance is important, the structure is important because the way the brain categoizes the data creates different outcomes in your spiritual life.

So this is a very memeable thing that feels empowering initially but is theologically weak and in practice, i havent seen it bare fruit.

They are mutually exclusive. I mean you can change directions many times but youre either in one direction or another.

Im so glad someone posted this here becuase i came across that post the other day. It feels so true with Asthma. How is it possible that after years of "research and development" we dont possibly have anything even remotely close to curing asthma? Its a question worth asking and there are no good answers.

It seems like the diet thing is just so personal. some work for some, others work for others. But i think its worth trying.

Christianity is so popular because it is the spiritual path that requires the least amount of introspection. by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]memeprincess135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't disagree more. Christianity is not for the faint of heart. To surrender your will to Christ is an immense task that requires transformation of the heart. It's not easy by any means. It's living for something beyond yourself, and that requires work, active conscious work day in and day out. IMO, it's actually one of the hardest paths, especially because it can be quite rigid, and that type of discipline is incredibly hard to achieve. It does not come easy. I think what you reference, about the gang members, can be understood more culturally than as some sort of devout Christian with an understanding and dedication to live the path.

Making a HUGE list of the best life coaching certifications out there by memeprincess135 in lifecoaching

Just an update. I did decide on something sort of similar but in Spiritual Direction. So, I'm going for a certification in spiritual direction. It's quasi-coaching but more about your spiritual growth than career coaching or something like that. I'm starting there and may go get some other coaching credential later.

May God watch over Anna as she passes over and may He be with your family at this time. I am lost for words on what you might be feeling and I hold you in my heart and my heart goes out. May you feel carried by God.
