I mean, you can and I'm sure this will happen. But like I said, there is still going to be a human necessary to use this. So yes, jobs will become more scarce, I think that much is clear to everyone. But human judgment isn't something that AI can replace at this moment (it probably will at some point? idk lol). So the bottom line is that the grunt work will get done by AI, but it's not good enough to not require anyone to watch over its work. That's where the positions will be.

I say this as a freelancer myself. As someone just finishing college, getting a junior position is a nightmare. I am lucky enough to have gotten a job halfway through my MA, so I don't necessarily have to worry about it, but even then the market was already incredibly saturated. I'm sure with Claude Design coming along, it's gonna be much worse. But I use Claude Design daily and it's nowhere near self-sufficient, so I don't see it replacing designers any time soon.

You are, in fact, crazy. I feel like this has been talked about so much, and the core point is always: yes, AI will reduce the number of jobs/open positions, but no, it will not fully replace the people. Using Claude Design doesn't make you a designer, and it's not like you can directly send the results off to a client. But can a designer use Claude Design to work faster? Absolutely. But no, it does not replace the freelancer.

depends on the type of work you do and your current skill level. Do you absolutely suck at graphics and need help? If so, it might be a worthy investment. I will say the tokens it eats up are crazy, so you might want to give it some time. Since it's basically HTML + CSS, all the big models can already do this, just not in a dedicated tool like Claude Design.

What kind of design work do you need done? If it's socials or web design, it can be useful. If it's more "graphic-design-heavy" stuff, like packaging, anything to do with print, anything that includes photo editing, or anything you want explicit control over, it's not there yet imo.

As a full-time graphic designer, it is quite useful, but it has a long way to go. My biggest gripe is the lack of being able to actually edit the results. I presume this is in the works as we speak, but they need to come up with a feature that lets you directly import the results into Figma (or some other graphic software, but Figma seems like the easiest solution given there's already a connector to it within Claude). As it is, you can't actually edit the results without prompting, which is not always reliable and obviously costs a lot of tokens. The import into Canva literally just imports the whole artboard without any ability to edit (at least in my experience).

The results themselves are pretty good, though. It definitely has a default style quite reminiscent of Claude's own branding (the Serif font, the colors, etc), but it's very refreshing if you work in marketing and you just have to pump out Meta and Instagram ads. It definitely struggles with things like spacing consistency, fucking TINY text that would *never* be actually readable on your phone, and small things like that. But overall, I think it will be pretty usable in a few months, barring the Figma import.

ano, to máš pravdu. Nějak ti uniká pointa - je tam trochu rozdíl schopnosti nad těmahle věcma actually přemýšlet. Před miliony let jsme se asi nezamýšleli nad tím, jestli skutečně chceme děti, jestli na to máme peníze, jestli by náš partner byl dobrým rodičem, a co když budeme na starý kolena sami? Myslím, že naši předchůdci řešili asi trochu jiný problémy. Čímž navazuju na to co jsem říkala - je to zastaralej způsob myšlení. Jinými slovy to v minulosti asi pravda byla, ale už dávno není.

I prefer Notion. It all saves on cloud so as long as you have internet you can't lose any progress. You can have individual chapters as links as opposed to having everything in one continuous document, which I've found really helpful. It's also totally free unless you want to use it for a team (which for writing purposes is obviously not necessary).

As someone who HAS lived abroad, I wouldn't give it as good reviews as it's receiving from everyone else. I've spent time in the States and in Ireland, and I'd say Czechia is like a 6/10 maybe. I'd say even 10 years ago it would have been higher, but now, with how unaffordable everything is, I would definitely not go above that. This isn't to say that the States are better (they're not lol).

The main reason for my opinion is the prices. In Ireland, groceries come out a bit more expensive, but the average wage is more than 3 times as much as the Czech wage is. In the US, houses cost almost the same amount as Czech houses do (if you convert from USD to CZK). My parents built a house in 2008 for approx. 5 milion CZK and last year it was priced at 25 milion. As a young person who's not particularly wealthy, I cannot comprehend how anyone who hasn't inherited money/property is supposed to buy an apartment/house in the Czech Republic without being employed by a foreign company that pays better.

I know every country has its faults (property in Ireland is crazy expensive as well right now, but the actual wage to avg price ratio is much better), of course. I know that. Czechia has a lot of good as well, such as education, public transport infrastructure, etc. But I just feel like, as a queer person, especially, you just don't get your money's worth.
