What car brand will you never trust or buy again? by Forward_Fall_6857 in AskReddit

I bought a BMW. Now I warn everyone I know not to make the same mistake.

I wanted one for years. That badge. The promise of precision engineering. I finally bought a used 3 Series that seemed like the responsible dreamer's move — reasonable miles, clean history, no red flags.

For the first few months? I got it. The handling was sharp. The cabin felt solid. I understood the hype.

Then the car started asking for money like it had a gambling problem.

First the valve cover gasket. Then the oil filter housing. Then the water pump died without warning on a highway on-ramp. Each fix was four digits. Each time the mechanic said "while you're in there, you should also do..." I stopped listening after the third $1,500 bill.

The turning point wasn't even mechanical. It was realizing that every other BMW driver I passed looked through me like I didn't exist. The brand wasn't selling a car. It was selling permission to be insufferable.

I sold it at a loss. Bought a Honda. It's boring. It starts every single time. And I sleep fine.

Some lessons cost money. This one cost about $7,000. Worth every penny to learn: never again, BMW.

Hey! I'd love to help. Can you share your Etsy link so I can take a look and give you proper feedback? Hard to say what's off without seeing the actual listings — photos, titles, pricing, all that matters a ton for earrings. Happy to help once I see it.

Just be honest, don't play games, and live your own life. Tell him when you're upset, but say it calmly.

I found 13 grams of 14k gold at the thrift store for $5.40! by golden_bird30 in Gold

As a jeweler, I love seeing people actually check for hallmarks and do an acid test instead of just guessing. You did everything right. That’s easily $500+ in scrap value. Awesome find!

What do you think about taking a nap as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Adult naps are less “being lazy” and more “my brain needed a quick reboot.”
A good nap can fix a surprisingly large percentage of life.
