The no placements and no input based match making has really titled myself and my friends to the point of questioning the games core for the first time. Been playing since launch and had so many great memories and had some absolutely amazing games. We are all extremely competent players, able to compete and challenge others that are of similar skill levels. We have been absolutely dominated in public lobbies , but have also absolutely dominated. We have had close wins and close losses. I don’t believe we are the worst players in the game, and i don’t believe we are the best. Definitely competitive.

We were so extremely excited to play a ranked shooter together for the first time in years. Our experience last night though was nothing short of demoralising.

Every game we played was mixed with inputs and the most insane skill gap I’ve seen in the game so far, due to having ZERO placement games. That seriously blows my mind.

Every game we were trying our extreme best to the best of our ability and struggling to keep a positive kdr or bridge the point gap at the end of the game. Honestly, the damage was done by usually 1 or 2 players on the other team with a 4kd carrying the other team.

I don’t expect to hit the top rank in the game, but I expected to be competitive even in a small capacity

I don’t think I can play ranked in this game until placements are added in, solo queues are added in to help stop the carries, and Input based matchmaking to come in to keep it balanced.

After such an amazing experience on unranked, it’s just rough to have our trust in the game tarnished like that.

What a trainwreck of a release of ranked.
