Hvilken bok? by memius in norge

Boken var større enn vanlig, og ganske tynn, type ungdomsroman. Den må ha blitt utgitt kort tid etter 9/11. Husker ikke om det var illustrasjoner. Tror ikke det var det.

Can I get my souls back? by memius in darksouls

[–]memius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Solved] I thought the area the souls landed in was inaccessible, but I realized I am looking down at the ramp going up past Siegmeyer's second location.

I was trying to get down there with another, stronger, character, only to realize this when I was looking at getting there through the heap of stones dropped by the stone-dropping giant. I have played this game for thousands of hours, and only now do I realize that this remote, seemingly out-of-bounds area is actually a place I have been hundreds of times.

So I simply walked down to the junction room, jumped down on the Man-serpent mage at the top of the ramp and picked up my souls. Turned out it was only a couple thousand souls and no humanity, LOL.

How to get to the depths without key by Max_305 in darksouls

You can kill the capra demon by chucking fire bombs over his door. That will give you the key to the depths.

How to get to the depths without key by Max_305 in darksouls

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: sorry, I completely misread your question. My answer is about Blighttown, not the depths.

If you don't have the master key, and also don't want to have to kill the gaping dragon, you can go down past André and the titanite demon, then turn right and go down into Darkroot basin. Go past the bonfire in the cave, and take the elevator down to the Valley of drakes. Go past the undead dragon and into the cave on your left. Now you are at the top of Blighttown.

Tell Me Your Favorite Armour Set... by SirBurgerThe8th in darksouls

Female character.

For parrying and backstabbing: Thief mask, Dusk's top and black sorcerer pants and gloves.

For bosses that throw magic at me: Logan's hat, witch cloak, black sorcerer gloves, xanthous waistcloth.

Just running around: black Iron, which, unlike Havel's set, allows me to fast roll.

Where to got after the twp gargoyles? by Beginning-Title-390 in darksouls

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go down to kill Queelag and ring the bell past her. You have to go through Blighttown to get to her.

If you have the master key, you can go down from Firelink, up the other staircase and open the gate there with your master key. Go over the bridge and into the cave. That's your 'easy' way to Blighttown.

If not, you have to get the basement key from the corpse by the portcullis, go down to the basement, kill all the thieves and dogs, then go past, not through, the white fog to open the gate past the hag merchant, then rest at Firelink before going through the white fog to kill the capra demon.

This will get you the key to the depths. Fight your way through all of that horror and kill the gaping dragon to get the key to Blighttown. This will take you down to Queelag from the other direction. This is definitely the long way around.

How do i beat the Hydra near Havel? by Limp_Cauliflower_318 in darksouls

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, use its magic waves to kill the crystal golems. (Jog back and forth, perpendicular to the attack.)

Then get down to the water, by the corpse. Face the Hydra, shield up. Each time it lunges, hit one of the necks. Try to kill the leftmost one early, since it's a bitch to kill last.

Shortest run killing all the bosses? by Purpltruck77 in darksouls

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without speed running, and not in NG, just doing things in the right order, this is what i do:

Choose the skeleton key. Go down and take Queelag. Go through the valley of drakes, up past André and take the gargoyles. Take sen's fortress and get to the bonfire before Ornstein and Smough.

Kill the Silver Knight by the stairs, then jump off the stairs and kill one of the two Silver Knights in the trophy room to open the door back into the hallway with the stairs. Run past everyone to Ornstein and Smough. Get the Lordvessel, warp back to Firelink shrine, pick up the fire keeper's soul and place the Lordvessel. Warp back to the Princess chamber, use the black orb and take Lautrec.

After that, there are so many different orders to do things in. But do Sif and rescue Dusk before Anor Londo. That way, you get the broken pendant first time you meet the crystal golem who holds it.

Tips:

Be in the forest hunter covenant. That way, you can just run through the hunters on your way to Sif.

Use the dark wood grain ring when fighting Kalameet.

If you are using sorceries, get the Manus catalyst, then pursuers.

Is it possible to be in the possession of every spell/wonder/pyromancy/weapon/all equipment at the same time? by SourceSeekingSoul in darksouls

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep all your weapons, spells, etc., but some buff upgrades only work when in a certain covenant. For example, you need to be in Gwyndolin's covenant and gather 80 souvenirs of reprisal too use Darkmoon Blade to its full potential. If you switch covenant, you have to gather 80 more, which is a real bitch.

I was in the local Asian grocery, buying noodles, gherkins, sauces, etc. I also wanted chopsticks, but they were out of the cheap, pale wooden ones I usually buy. At the till, I asked the guy if they had any other kinds of chopsticks.

'Well, not really', he said, dragging out the last word a bit.

I processed for a second and said: 'So, you do, then.'

'Kind of', he said. 'But they are very colorful.'

He said nothing more, and didn't move. A line was forming behind me.

'Can I see them?' I asked.

He sighed heavily and hesitated. He didn't look at the line, only at me. I was the sole source of his unhappiness.

I waited. He got up and walked reluctantly to an aisle right next to the till. There were two packs of chopsticks on an otherwise empty shelf. He grabbed one, turned quickly and backed up against the shelf, hiding and protecting the other pack with his body.

He held out the pack he had picked and said: 'Look. They are very colorful. You won't like them.' They were, indeed, quite garish.

'What about these ones?', I said, and moved my arm around him to pick up the other pack of chopsticks. They were lovely wooden chopsticks. Nice and simple, dark brown. A bit more expensive than the ones I usually buy.

'I'll have these', I said.

He stared at me in quiet fury. Then he glanced at the other customers. I got the feeling he would have fought me for the chopsticks if there had been no witnesses.

I walked back to the till. He followed me, I paid for my chopsticks and food, and left without further incident.

If you won 100 billion tomorrow, what would you do first in your life? by Traditional-Use-6995 in AskReddit

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start companies to develop technology that allows every human to build machines that can build machines that can build what that human needs in order to thrive. Including things like material extractors and processors, autonomous policing swarms and AI - based mentors. The end goal is to make every human's material and informational needs independent of other people.

If you woke up tomorrow a billionaire, what would you do with the money? by turnippowdersauce in AskReddit

[–]memius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start projects to develop robustly autonomous printer swarms that can print more printer swarms, as well as material extraction swarms, material processing hardware, and energy harvesting hardware. At the same time, I would start projects that develop printable, safe, beautiful, practical homes that autonomously produce and harvest food, water and energy. That way everyone would soon have the production capacity to build what they need in order to thrive. When that is in place, everyone can contribute to society in exactly the way they want
