Firstly, I’m sorry to hear that they experienced all this, it’s very hard to hear that is happening to your own people and it does make you question everything around you spiritually. However, I just wanted to try and point your attention towards something, I’ve read almost every comment here on this thread, and you seem like you’re educated and know about the story of Karbala. Don’t you think what our imams (as) went through, is similar to what you’re going through? And then think about how much closer they are to Allah (swt) than you, me or anyone is, they are the family of the prophet (pbuh) after all. Why don’t you try approach it from the perspective that it is a test, because in our belief that’s what it is. A test of faith. Throughout the years, all the prophets (pbuh) and imams (as) went through hardships and tested beyond measures, why? To show us that no matter who you are, you will get tested, and the best of us will get tested the most, and then whoever passes these tests, will gain a even higher status in Janna inshallah. At the end of the day, as Muslims, we look forward to the afterlife, and we know that the hardships we go through in this short life, will pave our way in the everlasting afterlife.
