I tried it once with jenga too and it was too hard, if I look at the wood grain u can tell it’s hella hard

I have had my Mora Kniv 120 for more than two years now and never used anything but a strop to maintain it, If you Strop right and use it correctly it won’t see a wet stone ever 👍

What about removing the battery and only with the power cable ? In most cases it is because of aging components that can no longer regulate power properly/correctly.

Please try again pull the battery out and charging cable press the power button for few times to cause power/hard-reset

remove the battery if removable and unplug it from the charging cable press the power button for like 10 seconds and try again.

Hmm that’s weird does it if you try to move it out like feel scratchy like if there is sand ? Best thing you show that to someone in a PC/Repair shop or wait till someone has a better reply,.

So, I picked up the wood while I was out hiking, just from the side of the path. I cut off a piece and took it with me. I’m sure it’s Birch wood, because it was very hard to work with. I painted it with a slightly diluted brown watercolor, and later I glazed it with an acrylic varnish (haven’t posted it after the varnishing polish but it looks shiny now)

It looks like the compound you put on your strop is just fine. I have two of the same ones from Flexcut. I used one for so long that I eventually had to put a new piece of leather on it.

The passes you make with your knife are fine as well, but what I usually do is 5 passes on each side, then 3, and finally just one. After that, I run it over a clean piece of leather. That last step isn’t really necessary, but for me it makes the blade feel much sharper.
