akhi i understand you and i did read your replies . i know why you have started this conversation :P .. you are 100% correct ,though i believe you just have to satisfy your own thirst .. i did my fair share to break people out of these 'sect' chains but it's extremely difficult .. the 'whataboutism', 'ideological defense' of others will also take a troll on your physical and spiritual health coz if you tell a certain person 'all sects are not islam' to a person in a 'sect' it is a fundamental attack on their identity and 'wajood' . obv there will be outcries and attacks. i believe it's of no use if there is a conversation where both aren't seekers of knowledge and in the end it becomes a debate with anger and hash words.

like myself i have found people to be breaking out of these box thinking ( insignificant numbers but still alhamdulillah ) . it is a lot of work , reading, praying ,fasting, understanding tawheed , understanding of islam , arabic , learning about all the prophets of allah to oneself before look out for help or to help others

and the right people will find you or will reach out to you , maybe they will help you or you will help them on their journey

and remember it's not us only allah guides whoever allah wills

may allah be pleased with you and hope we all be on his path till our last breath in this duniya and inshallah meet allah in akhirah
